| 1 | 所羅門肇建耶和華室、於耶路撒冷摩利亞山、卽耶和華見於其父大衞之所、大衞曾定其地、在耶布斯人阿珥楠禾場、 | Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. |
| 2 | 所羅門卽位四年二月二日、開始建造、 | And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. |
| 3 | 所羅門爲上帝室所砌之基、長六十肘、寬二十肘、俱循古度、 | Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. |
| 4 | 前廊長二十肘、寬與室等、高百二十肘、內蓋以精金、 | And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold. |
| 5 | 大室之壁、蔽以柏木、蓋以精金、上刻椶樹與鏈之狀、 | And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains. |
| 6 | 又飾室以寶石、使之華美、金皆巴瓦音所出、 | And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim. |
| 7 | 室及梁閾壁門、皆以金蓋之、壁上鏤基路伯、 | He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls. |
| 8 | 又造至聖所、長二十肘、與室之寬相等、其寬亦二十肘、蓋以精金、用金六百他連得、 | And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents. |
| 9 | 金釘五十舍客勒、樓閣亦蓋以金、 | And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold. |
| 10 | 至聖所內、按作像法、製基路伯二、包之以金、 | And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold. |
| 11 | 其翮共長二十肘、左者一翮長五肘、及於室壁、一翮亦長五肘、接於右者之翮、 | And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub. |

| 13 | 二基路伯各張其翮、共長二十肘、面室而立、 | The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward. |
| 14 | 以藍紫絳三色之縷、及細枲布作㡘、上繡基路伯、 | And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon. |
| 15 | 室前作二柱、高三十五肘、柱頂高五肘、 | Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits. |
| 16 | 又作鏈、置於柱頂、作石榴一百、繫於鏈上、 | And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. |
| 17 | 其柱立於室前、左一右一、右名雅斤、左名波阿斯、 | And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz. |
