| 1 | 約西亞在耶路撒冷守逾越節、奉事耶和華、正月十四日、宰逾越節羔、 | Moreover Josiah kept a passover unto the Lord in Jerusalem: and they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month. |
| 2 | 王立祭司、以任厥職、勉其供耶和華室之役事、 | And he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of the Lord, |
| 3 | 諭誨以色列衆之利未人、卽區別爲聖歸於耶和華者、曰、當以聖匱、置於以色列王、大衞子所羅門所建之室、不復肩負、宜奉事爾之上帝耶和華、服事其民以色列、 | And said unto the Levites that taught all Israel, which were holy unto the Lord, Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel did build; it shall not be a burden upon your shoulders: serve now the Lord your God, and his people Israel, |
| 4 | 亦當自備、按爾宗族、循爾班列、遵以色列王大衞、及其子所羅門所書者、 | And prepare yourselves by the houses of your fathers, after your courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son. |
| 5 | 立於聖所、循爾昆弟宗族之班列、各班當有利未人、 | And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites. |
| 6 | 宰逾越節羔、自潔、爲爾昆弟備之、遵耶和華藉摩西所諭之言、 | So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses. |
| 7 | 約西亞賜在彼之民、綿羊羔山羊羔三萬、牡牛三千、以爲逾越節之祭品、悉自王產取之、 | And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king’s substance. |
| 8 | 王之牧伯亦樂輸祭品、予民及祭司利未人、司上帝室者、希勒家、撒迦利亞、耶歇、予祭司羔羊二千六百、牡牛三百、以爲逾越節之祭品、 | And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen. |
| 9 | 利未族長歌楠雅、與其昆弟示瑪雅、拿坦業、及哈沙比雅、耶利、約撒拔、予利未人羔羊五千、牡牛五百、以爲逾越節之祭品、 | Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave unto the Levites for passover offerings five thousand small cattle, and five hundred oxen. |
| 10 | 於是役事俱備、祭司立於其所、利未人循其班列而立、俱遵王命、 | So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the king’s commandment. |
| 11 | 利未人宰逾越節羔、祭司由其手受血沃之、利未人剝皮、 | And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hands, and the Levites flayed them. |
| 12 | 所獻燔祭、循其宗族班列、以頒於民、俾獻於耶和華、循摩西書所載、頒牛亦如是、 | And they removed the burnt offerings, that they might give according to the divisions of the families of the people, to offer unto the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so did they with the oxen. |
| 13 | 循其常例、火炙逾越節羔、其餘聖祭、烹於釜鼎鑊、速頒於民、 | And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings sod they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the people. |
| 14 | 厥後、爲己及祭司備之、蓋祭司卽亞倫子孫、獻燔祭與脂至夕、故利未人爲己及祭司備之、 | And afterward they made ready for themselves, and for the priests: because the priests the sons of Aaron were busied in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests the sons of Aaron. |
| 15 | 謳歌者亞薩裔、立於其所、循大衞亞薩希幔、及王之先見耶杜頓所命、閽人在各門、無庸離其職守、因其昆弟利未人爲之備也、 | And the singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the porters waited at every gate; they might not depart from their service; for their brethren the Levites prepared for them. |
| 16 | 是日供役於耶和華、其事俱備、卽守逾越節、獻燔祭於耶和華壇、循約西亞王所命、 | So all the service of the Lord was prepared the same day, to keep the passover, and to offer burnt offerings upon the altar of the Lord, according to the commandment of king Josiah. |
| 17 | 維時、在彼之以色列人守逾越節、及除酵節七日、 | And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days. |
| 18 | 自先知撒母耳以來、在以色列、未嘗守如是之逾越節、以色列列王守逾越節、未有若約西亞、與祭司利未人、及同在之猶大與以色列衆、並耶路撒冷居民所守者、 | And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. |
| 19 | 守此逾越節、乃約西亞在位之十八年也、○ | In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover kept. |
| 20 | 嗣後約西亞修殿旣畢、埃及王尼哥上攻伯拉河濱之迦基米施、約西亞出而禦之、 | After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Carchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him. |
| 21 | 尼哥遣使謂約西亞曰、猶大王歟、我與爾何與、我今來此、非欲攻爾、乃攻與我戰鬬之族、上帝命我速行、彼旣偕我、爾勿敵上帝、免爲所滅、 | But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not. |
| 22 | 惟約西亞不轉離之、乃改裝往戰、不聽上帝藉尼哥所諭之言、遂至米吉多谷以戰、 | Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo. |
| 23 | 射者射約西亞王、王謂僕曰、我受重創、載我出陳、 | And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded. |
| 24 | 僕乃扶之下車、易以所備副車、載至耶路撒冷而卒、葬於列祖之墓、舉猶大及耶路撒冷之衆、爲之哀悼、 | His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah. |
| 25 | 耶利米爲約西亞作哀歌、謳歌之男女哀悼時、亦言及約西亞、迄於今日、在以色列中、定爲常例、其歌載於哀歌書、 | And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations. |
| 26 | 約西亞其餘事蹟、及其遵耶和華律所載而行之善、 | Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his goodness, according to that which was written in the law of the Lord, |
| 27 | 自始至末、俱載於以色列猶大列王紀、 | And his deeds, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. |
