| 2 | 約哈斯卽位時、年二十有三、在耶路撒冷爲王、僅歷三月、 | Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. |
| 3 | 埃及王廢之、又罰其國、銀百他連得、金一他連得、 | And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. |

| 8 | 約雅敬其餘事蹟、與其可憎之行、及其不正、俱載於以色列猶大列王紀、子約雅斤嗣位、○ | Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead. |

| 12 | 行耶和華所惡、先知耶利米以耶和華言諭之、彼不自卑、 | And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the Lord. |
| 13 | 尼布甲尼撒使其指上帝而誓、彼仍背叛、強其項、剛厥心、不歸服以色列之上帝耶和華、 | And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the Lord God of Israel. |
| 14 | 且諸祭司長與民衆、大干罪戾、從異邦可憎之事、汚耶和華在耶路撒冷區別爲聖之室、 | Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. |

| 16 | 惟彼訕笑上帝之使、藐視其言、譏其先知、致耶和華之怒及於其民、無可救治、 | But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy. |
| 17 | 故上帝使迦勒底王來攻之、以刃戮其丁壯於其聖室、不恤幼男少女、老人白叟、俱付其手、 | Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand. |
| 18 | 上帝室中大小器皿、以及寶物、並王與牧伯之寶物、悉攜至巴比倫、 | And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon. |
| 19 | 且焚上帝室、毀耶路撒冷城垣、爇其宮室、壞其珍器、 | And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. |
| 20 | 凡脫於刃者、皆虜至巴比倫、爲己與子孫之奴婢、迨及波斯國興、 | And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: |
| 21 | 應耶和華藉耶利米口所言、斯土享其安息、蓋地荒蕪、得其安息、盈七十年、○ | To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. |
| 22 | 波斯國古列元年、耶和華使藉耶利米口所言得應、感波斯王古列之心、宣告通國、且書之曰、 | Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, |
| 23 | 波斯王古列云、天上上帝耶和華、以天下萬國賜我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷、爲之建室、爾中凡爲其民者可上、願其上帝耶和華偕之、 | Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up. |
