| 2 | 大衞乃知耶和華立之爲以色列王、蓋爲其民以色列故、振興其國也、○ | And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel. |
| 3 | 大衞在耶路撒冷又娶后妃、誕生子女、 | And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters. |
| 4 | 在耶路撒冷所生之子、名沙母亞、朔罷、拿單、所羅門、 | Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, |

| 8 | 非利士人聞大衞受膏、爲以色列全族之王、咸至而索之、大衞聞之、遂往迎焉、 | And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them. |
| 9 | 非利士人旣至、侵利乏音谷、 | And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. |
| 10 | 大衞諮諏上帝曰、我往攻非利士人可否、爾付之於我手乎、耶和華曰、往哉、我必付之於爾手、 | And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. |
| 11 | 非利士人至巴力毘拉心、大衞擊之、曰、上帝假我手破敵、如水之衝流然、故名其地曰巴力毘拉心、 | So they came up to Baal–perazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baal–perazim. |
| 12 | 敵遺其偶像、大衞宣命、乃以火焚之、 | And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire. |
| 13 | 非利士人又侵谷中、 | And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley. |
| 14 | 大衞復諮諏上帝、上帝曰、勿往迎之、宜遶其後、於桑林相對之所攻之、 | Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. |
| 15 | 聞桑杪有步履之聲、則出戰、蓋上帝先爾而行、擊非利士軍旅、 | And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines. |
| 16 | 大衞遵上帝命、擊非利士軍旅、自基遍至基色、 | David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer. |
| 17 | 大衞之聲名、遂洋溢於列國、耶和華使列國咸畏之、 | And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations. |
