| 2 | 大衞曰、耶和華旣簡利未人舁上帝匱、永久奉事之、他人不可舁也、 | Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the Lord chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever. |
| 3 | 大衞集以色列衆於耶路撒冷、以舁耶和華匱、至其所備之所、 | And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto his place, which he had prepared for it. |
| 4 | 又集亞倫裔、及利未人、 | And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites: |
| 5 | 哥轄裔、族長烏列、與其昆弟百二十人、 | Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty: |

| 12 | 諭之曰、爾曹爲利未族長、當與昆弟自潔、致可舁以色列上帝耶和華之匱、至我所備之所、 | And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it. |
| 13 | 爾曹初未舁之、亦未循例尋求上帝、故我上帝耶和華擊我儕、 | For because ye did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order. |
| 14 | 祭司利未人遂自潔、欲舁以色列上帝耶和華之匱而上、 | So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel. |
| 15 | 利未子孫、以杠肩舁上帝匱、循摩西遵耶和華言所命、 | And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the Lord. |
| 16 | 大衞告利未族長、立其昆弟謳歌者、以樂器琴瑟與鈸、欣然大發其音、而揚厥聲、 | And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. |
| 17 | 利未人遂立約珥子希幔、與其昆弟比利家子亞薩、及其同宗米拉利裔、古沙雅子以探、 | So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah; |
| 18 | 其次、昆弟撒迦利雅、便、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、比拿雅、瑪西雅、瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅、閽人俄別以東、耶利、 | And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed–edom, and Jeiel, the porters. |
| 19 | 如是立謳歌者希幔、亞薩、以探、擊銅鈸大發其聲、 | So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass; |
| 20 | 撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、烏尼、以利押、瑪西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟、其聲清以細、 | And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth; |
| 21 | 瑪他提雅、以利斐利戶、彌克尼雅、俄別以東、耶利、亞撒西雅鳴琴、其聲洪而緩、爲始作者、 | And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed–edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel. |
| 22 | 利未族長基拿尼雅、爲謳歌之長、訓謳歌之人、以其擅此技也、 | And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful. |
| 23 | 比利家以利加拿爲閽、以守匱、 | And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark. |
| 24 | 祭司示巴尼、約沙法、拿坦業、亞瑪賽、撒迦利雅、比拿亞、以利以謝、在上帝匱前吹角、俄別以東耶希亞爲閽、以守匱、 | And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed–edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark. |
| 25 | 於是大衞與以色列長老、及千夫長、歡然往舁耶和華之約匱、自俄別以東家而上、 | So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of Obed–edom with joy. |
| 26 | 因上帝助舁耶和華約匱之利未人、則獻牡犢七、牡羊七爲祭、 | And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams. |
| 27 | 大衞與舁匱之利未人、及謳歌長基拿尼雅、曁衆謳歌者、皆衣細枲長服、大衞又衣枲聖衣、 | And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen. |
| 28 | 以色列衆歡呼、吹角吹箛、擊鈸鼓瑟、鳴琴奏樂、舁耶和華約匱而上、 | Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps. |
| 29 | 耶和華約匱入大衞城時、掃羅女米甲自牖而窺、見大衞王踴躍舞蹈、中心鄙夷之、 | And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart. |
