| 1 | 子女當緣主順從父母、斯乃善也、 | Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. |
| 2 | 敬爾父母、此爲寓許之首誡、 | Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) |
| 3 | 俾爾暢遂、享壽於世、 | That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. |
| 4 | 父勿激子女之怒、惟依主之訓勉、而鞠育之、○ | And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. |
| 5 | 僕當畏懼戰慄、以忠心順爾形軀之主、如於基督然、 | Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; |
| 6 | 勿第以目前服役、若取悅於人者、惟如基督之僕、由心而行上帝之旨、 | Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; |
| 7 | 欣然服役、如於主、非於人、 | With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: |
| 8 | 蓋知或爲僕、或自主、必各依其所行之善、受報於主、 | Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. |
| 9 | 主之待僕、亦當如是、勿恐嚇之、蓋知彼與爾之主在天、不以貌視人也、○ | And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. |
| 10 | 此外、當賴主及其權能而剛健、 | Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. |
| 11 | 衣上帝全備鎧甲、克禦魔之詭譎、 | Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. |
| 12 | 蓋我儕所與戰者、非血氣之人、乃諸執政者、掌權者、及此暗世之君、並天際之惡靈、 | For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. |
| 13 | 當取上帝全備鎧甲、俾克守禦於艱難之日、迨諸事旣成而卓然、 | Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. |
| 14 | 故宜屹立、腰束以誠、胸護以義、 | Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; |
| 15 | 以和平福音爲所備之履、而著於足、 | And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; |
| 16 | 又取信以爲盾、能悉滅惡者之火箭、 | Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. |
| 17 | 且取救濟之冑、及聖神之劍、卽上帝道也、 | And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: |
| 18 | 以諸祈禱籲懇、感於聖神而恆求、於此儆醒不倦、爲諸聖徒祈、 | Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; |
| 19 | 亦爲我祈、使我於啟口時、毅然闡明福音之奧祕、 | And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, |
| 20 | 緣此、我爲縲絏中之使者、俾得侃侃而言、如所當言、○ | For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. |
| 21 | 我所愛之兄弟推基古、乃於主爲忠役者、彼將悉以我事告爾、 | But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: |
| 22 | 爲此我特遣之就爾、令爾知我景況、且慰爾心、○ | Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts. |
| 23 | 願平康與愛與信、由父上帝、及主耶穌基督歸爾、 | Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 24 | 凡於我主耶穌基督、有不朽之愛者、願恩惠偕爾焉、 | Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Written from Rome unto the Ephesians by Tychicus. |
