| 1 | 安逸於錫安、優游於撒瑪利亞山、著名列邦之首、以色列家所歸者、其人禍哉、 | Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came! |
| 2 | 爾其往甲尼而觀、自彼至哈馬大邑、下至非利士之迦特、其邑豈愈於此國乎、其境豈廣於爾境乎、 | Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border? |
| 3 | 爾以爲患難之日遙遠、致暴虐之位速設、 | Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; |
| 4 | 偃臥於象牙之牀、舒體於榻、食羣中之羔、與牢中之犢、 | That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; |
| 5 | 和琴瑟之聲、歌無謂之曲、爲己而製樂器、同乎大衞、 | That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; |
| 6 | 以巨盂飲酒、以寶膏自沐、而爲約瑟之難、則不憂焉、 | That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. |
| 7 | 彼於被虜者中、必先見虜、舒體者之讌樂逝矣、 | Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed. |
| 8 | 萬軍之上帝耶和華曰、主耶和華指己而誓、我惡雅各之驕泰、而憎其宮室、將以斯城及其中所有、悉付諸敵、 | The Lord God hath sworn by himself, saith the Lord the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein. |
| 9 | 若於一室遺有十人、俱必死亡、 | And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die. |
| 10 | 人之親屬焚其尸者、攜骸出室、問內室之人曰、尚有人偕爾否、彼曰無有、又曰緘默、勿道耶和華之名、 | And a man’s uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the Lord. |

| 12 | 馬豈馳於磐巖之上乎、牛豈耕於彼乎、惟爾變公平爲荼毒、變義果爲茵蔯、 | Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock: |
| 13 | 虛無是喜、乃曰我儕之角、非以己力而得乎、 | Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength? |
| 14 | 萬軍之上帝耶和華曰、以色列家歟、我將興一國以敵爾、自哈馬之道、至亞拉巴之溪、困苦爾焉、 | But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the Lord the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness. |
