| 1 | 在撒瑪利亞山、巴珊之牝牛歟、其聽斯言、爾曹虐遇貧窮、壓制困乏、謂其主曰、攜酒共飲、 | Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink. |
| 2 | 主耶和華指己之聖而誓曰、其日將至、人必以鈎取爾、以魚鈎取爾遺民、 | The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks. |
| 3 | 爾必出城缺而直前、投於哈門、耶和華言之矣、○ | And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the Lord. |
| 4 | 其往伯特利而干罪、至吉甲而增愆、每晨奉爾祭品、每三日而獻什一、 | Come to Beth–el, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years: |
| 5 | 焚獻有酵之酬恩祭、以樂獻祭炫示於人、以色列人歟、斯乃爾所悅者、主耶和華言之矣、 | And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord God. |
| 6 | 我於諸邑中、使爾齒淨、各地乏食、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、 | And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. |
| 7 | 穫前三月、我禁厥雨、惟雨此邑、不雨彼邑、一田得雨、他田無雨、則枯槁焉、 | And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. |
| 8 | 如是、二三邑之民、踉蹌而行、至他邑求水、飲之而不足、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、 | So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. |
| 9 | 我以炎風毒黴之災擊爾、諸菜圃與葡萄園、無花果與橄欖樹、爲蟿螽所食、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、 | I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. |
| 10 | 我降疫癘於爾中、同乎埃及、以刃殺爾少者、掠爾馬匹、俾爾營中、腥臭撲鼻、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、 | I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. |
| 11 | 我傾覆爾中之城邑、若上帝傾覆所多瑪蛾摩拉然、爾如燼木、得拔於火、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、 | I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord. |
| 12 | 以色列歟、我必如是行於爾、以色列歟、職是之故、爾宜自備、以迎爾之上帝、 | Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. |
| 13 | 彼造山創風、以人之意念示人、變清晨爲昏暗、履於地之高處、萬軍之上帝耶和華、乃其名也、 | For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The Lord, The God of hosts, is his name. |
