| 1 | 猶大王烏西亞、以色列王約阿施子耶羅波安時、地震前二年、提哥亞牧人中、阿摩司得啟示、論以色列之言、○ | The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. |
| 2 | 曰、耶和華將自錫安號呼、自耶路撒冷發聲、牧人之草場愁慘、迦密山巔凋零、○ | And he said, The Lord will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither. |
| 3 | 耶和華曰、大馬色干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其以打穀鐵器撻基列也、 | Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: |
| 4 | 我必使火入於哈薛家、燬便哈達之宮室、 | But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben–hadad. |
| 5 | 折大馬色之楗、殲亞文谷之居民、及伯伊甸之執杖者、使亞蘭人爲俘、而至吉珥、耶和華言之矣、○ | I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the Lord. |
| 6 | 耶和華曰、迦薩干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其盡虜人民、付於以東也、 | Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: |
| 7 | 我必降火於迦薩城垣、燬其宮室、 | But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: |
| 8 | 殲亞實突之居民、及亞實基倫之執杖者、反手以攻以革倫、非利士之遺民滅亡、主耶和華言之矣、○ | And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord God. |
| 9 | 耶和華曰、推羅干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其付衆民於以東、不念昆弟之約也、 | Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant: |

| 11 | 耶和華曰、以東干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其以刃追襲昆弟、絕無矜憫、發忿傷人不已、怒氣恆懷也、 | Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever: |
| 12 | 我必降火於提幔、燬波斯拉之宮室、○ | But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah. |
| 13 | 耶和華曰、亞捫族干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其刳剔基列之孕婦、恢廓其境土也、 | Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border: |
| 14 | 我必燃火於拉巴城垣、燬其宮室、在呼喊戰鬬之日、颶風暴雨之時、 | But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind: |
| 15 | 其王與牧伯爲俘、耶和華言之矣、 | And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the Lord. |
