| 1 | 大利烏二年八月、耶和華諭易多孫、比利家子、先知撒迦利亞曰、 | In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, |
| 2 | 昔耶和華甚不悅爾列祖、 | The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. |
| 3 | 故當告民曰、萬軍之耶和華云、爾其返於我、我則返於爾、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、 | Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 4 | 毋效爾列祖、古先知呼之曰、萬軍之耶和華云、轉離爾之惡途惡行、惟彼不聽、不從我言、耶和華言之矣、 | Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord. |

| 6 | 惟我所命我僕諸先知之言詞典章、豈非及於爾列祖乎、彼則悛改曰、萬軍之耶和華欲依我所行所爲、而施行於我、已若是待我矣、○ | But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the Lord of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. |

| 8 | 彼則曰、我於夜間、見有乘赤馬者、立於谷中岡拈樹間、其後有赤紅白色之馬、 | I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. |
| 9 | 我曰、我主、此維何、與我言之使謂我曰、我將以之示爾、 | Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. |
| 10 | 立於岡拈樹間者曰、此乃耶和華所遣、遍遊大地者也、 | And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth. |
| 11 | 彼衆遂覆立於岡拈樹間之耶和華使者曰、我儕已遍遊大地、見全地安居靜謐、 | And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest. |
| 12 | 耶和華之使者曰、萬軍之耶和華歟、爾怒耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、旣歷七十年、不加矜憫、將至幾時乎、 | Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years? |
| 13 | 耶和華以善言慰語、答與我言之使、 | And the Lord answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words. |
| 14 | 與我言之使謂我曰、爾其呼云、萬軍之耶和華曰、我爲耶路撒冷與錫安、熱中特甚、 | So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. |
| 15 | 我深不悅安逸之列邦、蓋我微怒斯民、彼則加以苦難、 | And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. |
| 16 | 故耶和華云、我以矜憫而返耶路撒冷、我室必建其中、引繩於耶路撒冷、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、 | Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem. |
| 17 | 當又呼曰、萬軍之耶和華云、我之諸邑、將豐阜而盈溢、耶和華必慰藉錫安邑、遴選耶路撒冷焉、○ | Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. |
| 18 | 我舉目而觀、見有四角、 | Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. |
| 19 | 遂謂與我言之使曰、此維何、曰、乃散猶大以色列耶路撒冷之角也、 | And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. |
| 20 | 耶和華以工匠四人示我、 | And the Lord shewed me four carpenters. |
| 21 | 我曰、其來何爲、曰、此角驅散猶大、以致無人昂首、斯人之來、使之恐怖、且擲列邦之角、卽高舉以攻猶大、而散之者也、 | Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it. |
