| 2 | 及姊妹亞腓亞、與我同伍之亞基布、曁在爾家之會、 | And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house: |
| 3 | 願恩惠平康、由我父上帝、及主耶穌基督歸爾、○ | Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 4 | 我恆謝我上帝、於祈禱間念及爾、 | I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, |
| 5 | 緣聞爾之愛、與向主耶穌及衆聖徒之信、 | Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; |
| 6 | 致爾與衆之信有效、得識爾曹所有之善、在於基督、 | That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. |
| 7 | 兄弟歟、我於爾愛、喜慰特甚、因諸聖徒之心、由爾而暢遂也、○ | For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. |
| 8 | 故我雖於基督、以所宜者侃侃命爾、 | Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient, |
| 9 | 然如我年邁之保羅、今且爲基督耶穌而被囚、寧以愛而求爾、 | Yet for love’s sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. |
| 10 | 卽爲我子阿尼西母求爾、乃我於縲絏中所生者、 | I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: |
| 11 | 彼素無益於爾、而今於爾我俱有益、 | Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: |
| 12 | 我遣之歸爾、彼乃我之腹心、 | Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels: |
| 13 | 我欲留之偕我、於福音之縲絏中代爾事我、 | Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel: |
| 14 | 第不識爾意、我不欲爲、使爾之善非出於強、乃出於願、 | But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. |
| 15 | 彼暫離爾、或俾爾永有之、 | For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; |
| 16 | 不復如僕、乃逾於僕、爲所愛之兄弟、於我且然、況於爾乎、且在形軀、亦在主也、 | Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord? |
| 17 | 爾若以我爲侶、則納之如納我、 | If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. |
| 18 | 若彼有枉爾負爾者、則皆歸之於我、我將償之、 | If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account; |
| 19 | 此我保羅之手書也、爾躬負我、我姑弗言、 | I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides. |
| 20 | 兄弟歟、使我於主中得爾助、我心於基督而暢遂、 | Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord. |
| 21 | 我深信爾之順服、故書以遺爾、知爾所爲、必過於我所言、 | Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say. |
| 22 | 爾亦當爲我備館舍、蓋我望由爾祈禱、得就爾也、○ | But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you. |
| 23 | 爲基督耶穌、與我同囚之以巴弗、 | There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus; |
