| 1 | 耶和華諭摩西亞倫曰、 | And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, |
| 2 | 耶和華所命之法典、今示於爾、宜令以色列族、牽牝犢一、其色維騂、純全無疵、未嘗負軛者詣爾、 | This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: |
| 3 | 付於祭司以利亞撒、牽出營外、宰於其前、 | And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face: |
| 4 | 祭司以利亞撒以指取血、灑於會幕前凡七、 | And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: |
| 5 | 焚犢於祭司前、皮肉血矢、悉焚之、 | And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: |
| 6 | 祭司取香柏、牛膝草、絳色綫、投諸焚犢之火、 | And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer. |
| 7 | 祭司當澣衣濯身、而後入營、其蒙不潔、迨夕乃免、 | Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even. |
| 8 | 焚犢者當澣衣濯身、其蒙不潔、迨夕乃免、 | And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even. |
| 9 | 潔者必取犢灰、置於營外潔地、和爲去汚之水、爲以色列族存之、此亦贖罪之祭也、 | And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin. |
| 10 | 取犢灰者、當澣厥衣、其蒙不潔、迨夕乃免、此乃以色列族、及旅於其中者之永例也、 | And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever. |
| 11 | 凡捫人尸、必蒙不潔、歷至七日、 | He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days. |
| 12 | 迨及三日、必以斯水自滌、歷至七日則潔、若三日不自滌、則七日不爲潔、 | He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean. |
| 13 | 凡捫死者之尸、而不自滌、玷耶和華之幕、必絕於以色列中、去汚之水未灑其身、必爲不潔、其汚仍存、 | Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him. |
| 14 | 人死於幕、有定例焉、凡入此幕、或在幕中者、必蒙不潔、歷至七日、 | This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days. |
| 15 | 凡開啟之器、未覆以蓋者、亦蒙不潔、 | And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean. |
| 16 | 在野見殺於刃者、或自斃之尸、或人骨、或荒塚、捫之者必蒙不潔、歷至七日、 | And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days. |
| 17 | 當爲不潔者、取所焚贖罪祭之灰、置於器中、加以活水、 | And for an unclean person they shall take of the ashes of the burnt heifer of purification for sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel: |
| 18 | 必潔者一人、浸牛膝草於水中、灑幕與其諸器、及在幕中之衆、與捫見殺者自斃者之尸、捫骨捫塚者、 | And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave: |
| 19 | 三日及七日、潔者必灑不潔者、至七日、使之成潔、其人澣衣濯身、迨夕乃潔、 | And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even. |
| 20 | 人蒙不潔、而不自滌、玷耶和華聖所、必絕於民中、去汚之水未灑其身、必爲不潔、 | But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the Lord: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean. |
| 21 | 凡灑去汚之水、當澣厥衣、凡捫去汚之水、必蒙不潔、迨夕乃免、著爲永例、 | And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even. |
| 22 | 蒙不潔者所捫之物、皆爲不潔、捫其物者、亦蒙不潔、迨夕乃免、 | And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even. |
