| 2 | 故所志者、宜在上、勿在下、 | Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. |
| 3 | 蓋爾已死、爾之生與基督共藏於上帝、 | For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. |
| 4 | 基督爲我之生、及其顯著、爾亦將共顯於榮中、○ | When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. |
| 5 | 故當滅爾在地之肢體、卽淫亂、汚穢、邪情、惡慾、及貪婪、夫貪婪與拜像一也、 | Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: |
| 6 | 緣此、上帝之怒、臨諸悖逆之人、 | For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: |
| 7 | 爾曹昔生於斯、亦嘗出入其間、 | In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. |
| 8 | 今宜去一切忿怒、暴戾、很毒、謗讟、穢言、 | But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. |
| 9 | 彼此勿誑、以爾已脫舊人與其行、 | Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; |
| 10 | 而衣新人、乃日新以致知、依造之者之像、 | And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: |
| 11 | 在彼無分希利尼、猶太、割與不割、夷人、狄人、爲奴、自主、惟基督爲萬有於萬有之中也、○ | Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. |
| 12 | 爾乃上帝所選、聖而見愛者、故宜存矜憫之心、仁慈、謙遜、温柔、恆忍、 | Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; |
| 13 | 儻彼此有釁、則宜相容、相恕、如主恕爾然、 | Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. |
| 14 | 此外尚以仁愛、乃完全之維繫也、 | And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. |
| 15 | 俾基督之和、主於爾心、爾爲此蒙召爲一體、亦宜感謝、 | And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. |
| 16 | 當以基督之道充實爾衷、智慧俱備、以詩、以歌、以靈賦、相教相戒、中心感恩、以頌上帝、 | Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. |
| 17 | 凡所言所行、悉宜以主耶穌名爲之、且由之謝父上帝焉、○ | And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. |
| 18 | 婦宜服夫、是乃宗主所宜也、 | Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. |
| 19 | 夫宜愛婦、勿苛遇之、 | Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. |
| 20 | 子女宜凡事順爾父母、是乃宗主見悅者也、 | Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. |
| 21 | 父勿激子女、恐其氣餒、 | Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. |
| 22 | 僕宜凡事順爾形軀之主、非以目前之服役、如取悅於人者、惟專誠畏主焉、 | Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: |
| 23 | 凡所爲者、皆宜由心而行、如向主、非向人、 | And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; |
| 24 | 蓋知嗣業之賞、由主而得、爾所事者、主基督也、 | Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. |
| 25 | 夫行非義者、必反受非義、而無所偏視也、 | But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons. |
