| 1 | 我豈復自薦乎、豈如他人需薦書與爾、抑取於爾乎、 | Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? |
| 2 | 爾卽我書、銘於吾心、衆所知而讀者、 | Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: |
| 3 | 顯爲基督之書、由我著作、非書以墨、乃以維生上帝之神、非於石版、乃於心版、 | Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. |
| 4 | 我儕由基督、對越上帝而具此信、 | And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: |
| 5 | 非言自能有所揆度、我之能由上帝而已、 | Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; |
| 6 | 使我克供新約之役、非恃文、乃恃靈、蓋文致死、靈致生也、 | Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. |
| 7 | 夫致死之役、文鐫諸石、尚有其榮、因摩西之榮、以色列人不能注視其面、此榮乃暫耳、 | But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: |
| 8 | 況屬靈之役、其榮不更甚哉、 | How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? |
| 9 | 若定罪之役爲榮、則致義之役益榮矣、 | For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. |
| 10 | 昔爲榮者不足榮、因有超越之榮故也、 | For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. |
| 11 | 蓋暫存者若榮、則永存者更榮矣、○ | For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. |
| 12 | 我有此望、故侃侃而言、 | Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: |
| 13 | 非如摩西蒙帕於面、使以色列人不得直視暫存者之終、 | And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: |
| 14 | 惟其心頑、迄今讀舊約時、斯帕猶存、夫此帕因基督而廢矣、 | But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. |
| 15 | 越至於今讀摩西書、帕蒙厥心、 | But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. |
| 16 | 迨其歸主、帕則去矣、 | Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. |
| 17 | 夫主卽神也、主神所在、乃得自由、 | Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. |
| 18 | 我儕露面、得見主榮、如於鏡中反照、則皆化爲主像、由榮致榮、如出乎主、卽聖神也、 | But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. |
