| 1 | 故我儕旣蒙矜恤、而受此役、則不餒、 | Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; |
| 2 | 棄愧恥之隱事、不行詭譎、不混上帝道、惟表彰眞理、在上帝前質己於衆衷、 | But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. |
| 3 | 儻我福音有蔽、惟蔽於淪亡者、 | But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: |
| 4 | 斯世之靈、盲彼不信者之心、使基督有榮之福音、光不之照、夫基督、上帝像也、 | In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. |
| 5 | 我儕所宣非己、乃基督耶穌爲主、己則緣耶穌爲爾僕耳、 | For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. |
| 6 | 蓋命光由暗而照之上帝、已照我心、俾知上帝榮耀之光、卽顯於耶穌基督之面者也、○ | For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. |
| 7 | 我儕有此寶、置於土器、致莫大之能、非由我、乃由上帝、 | But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. |
| 8 | 我儕隨在遇難、而不阨窮、顚連而不失望、 | We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; |
| 9 | 窘逐而不遺、傾仆而不斃、 | Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; |
| 10 | 身常任耶穌之死、致耶穌之生、亦顯於我身、 | Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. |
| 11 | 蓋我之生也、恆爲耶穌冒死、俾耶穌之生、於我必死之體而顯、 | For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. |
| 12 | 是則死在於我、生在於爾也、 | So then death worketh in us, but life in you. |
| 13 | 如經云、我信故言、我儕旣有此信、亦因信而言也、 | We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; |
| 14 | 蓋知起耶穌者、亦必偕耶穌起我儕、引爾我謁見之、 | Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. |
| 15 | 萬事皆爲爾曹、致恩因衆而增、祝謝彌盛、以榮上帝、○ | For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. |
| 16 | 故我不餒、外體雖壞、而內心日新、 | For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. |
| 17 | 蓋我暫而且微之苦、適成我儕隆重悠久之榮、 | For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; |
| 18 | 以我儕非顧所見之事、乃不見之事、蓋所見者暫、不見者久也、 | While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. |
