| 1 | 我若能言諸國諸天使之言、而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、 | Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. |
| 2 | 雖能豫言、洞悉諸奧諸智、且有篤實之信、足以移山、若無愛、則我爲烏有、 | And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. |
| 3 | 雖罄所有以施濟、又舍身被焚、若無愛、則於我無益、 | And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. |
| 4 | 夫愛則寬忍、慈惠、不妒、不誇、不衒、 | Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, |
| 5 | 不妄行、不爲己、不暴怒、不念惡、 | Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; |
| 6 | 不喜非義、而喜眞理、 | Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; |
| 7 | 悉容、悉信、悉望、悉忍、 | Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. |
| 8 | 惟愛無隕、但豫言將廢、方言將止、知識亦將無也、 | Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. |
| 9 | 今我知識未全、豫言未全、 | For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. |
| 10 | 迨全者至、則未全者廢矣、 | But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. |
| 11 | 我爲赤子時、所言如赤子、所知如赤子、所思如赤子、旣成人、則赤子之事廢矣、 | When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. |
| 12 | 今我儕由鏡而觀、茫然也、後則晤面、今我知未全、後必深知、如我之見知然、 | For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. |
| 13 | 今所存者、信也、望也、愛也、三者之中、惟愛爲大、 | And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. |
