1	Der Bau des Tempels / Salomo beginnt den Tempelbau Salomo begann, das Haus des Herrn zu bauen, auf dem Berg Morija in Jerusalem. Dort war der Herr seinem Vater David erschienen und so hatte David diesen Platz bestimmt. Es war der Dreschplatz des Jebusiters Arauna.	Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
2	Er begann den Bau im vierten Jahr seiner Herrschaft. Es war der zweite Tag im zweiten Monat.	And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
3	Als Grundmaße für den Bau des Tempels legte Salomo fest: 30 Meter für die Länge und zehn Meter für die Breite. Dabei galten die älteren Maßeinheiten.	Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
4	Die Vorhalle war genauso breit wie das Haus Gottes, nämlich zehn Meter, und war auch zehn Meter hoch. Innen überzog er sie mit reinem Gold.	And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
5	Den Hauptraum verkleidete er mit Zypressenholz und überzog ihn mit feinem Gold. Er verzierte ihn noch mit Palmblättern und geflochtenen Blütenketten.	And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.
6	Weiter schmückte er den Tempel mit kostbaren Steinen. Das Gold stammte aus Parwajim.	And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.
7	Er überzog das ganze Haus mit Gold, seine Balken und Schwellen, seine Wände und Türen. In die Wände schnitzte er Kerubim.	He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.
8	Das Allerheiligste und die Bronzesäulen vor dem Tempel Dann errichtete er das Allerheiligste. Es war zehn Meter lang und zehn Meter breit, also genauso breit wie das ganze Gebäude. Er überzog es mit feinem Gold von zwei Tonnen Gewicht.	And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
9	Auch die oberen Räume kleidete er mit Gold aus. Das Gold für die Nägel wog 500 Gramm.	And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.
10	Er fertigte zwei Kerubim an, die er ebenfalls mit Gold überzog. Sie waren für das Allerheiligste gedacht.	And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.
11	Die Flügel der beiden Kerubim waren zusammen zehn Meter lang. Jeder einzelne Flügel war zweieinhalb Meter lang. Ein Flügel des ersten Kerubs berührte die eine Seitenwand des Raumes. Der andere Flügel, auch zweieinhalb Meter lang, berührte einen Flügel des zweiten Kerubs.	And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
12	Der eine Flügel des zweiten Kerubs reichte also bis an den Flügel des ersten Kerubs. Der andere Flügel des zweiten Kerubs berührte die andere Seitenwand des Raumes. Auch die Flügel des zweiten Kerubs waren beide je zweieinhalb Meter lang.	And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.
13	Die Flügel der Kerubim hatten zusammen eine Spannweite von zehn Metern. Die Kerubim standen aufrecht auf ihren Füßen und ihre Gesichter waren dem Innenraum zugewandt.	The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.
14	Salomo stellte einen Vorhang aus feinem Leinen her, violett, purpurrot und karmesinrot gefärbt. Er verzierte ihn mit Kerubim.	And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.
15	Dann stellte er vor dem Haus zwei Säulen auf. Sie waren fünfzehn Meter hoch. Der Abschluss oben auf der Säule maß zweieinhalb Meter.	Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
16	Im Allerheiligsten stellte er Blütenketten her und brachte sie an der Spitze der Säulen an. Dann machte er 100 Granatäpfel und befestigte sie an den geflochtenen Blütenketten.	And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
17	Schließlich richtete er die Säulen vor dem Tempel auf, eine rechts, die andere links. Die rechte nannte er Jachin und die linke Boas.	And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
