1	Die Abteilungen der Sänger David und die Heerführer bestellten Heman und Jedutun zum Dienst. Sie waren Söhne von Asaf und wie Propheten begabt. Sie sollten mit Begeisterung Leiern, Harfen und Zimbeln spielen. Die Zahl der Männer, die diesen Dienst taten, kam so zustande:	Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
2	Von den Söhnen Asafs waren es Sakkur, Josef, Netanja und Asarela. Asafs Nachkommen folgten seiner Anleitung. Er handelte auf Anweisung des Königs und spielte so begabt wie ein Prophet.	Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.
3	Von Jedutun waren es seine sechs Söhne Gedalja, Zeri, Jeschaja, Haschabja, Mattitja und Schimi. Sie folgten der Anleitung ihres Vaters Jedutun, der wie ein Prophet die Harfe spielte. So lobten und priesen sie den Herrn.	Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the Lord.
4	Von Heman waren es seine Söhne Bukkija, Mattanja, Usiel, Schubael, Jerimot, Hananja, Hanani, Eliata, Giddalti, Romamti-Eser, Joschbekascha, Malloti, Hotir und Mahasiot.	Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti–ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
5	Sie alle waren Söhne von Heman, dem Seher des Königs. Gott hatte Heman versprochen, ihn mächtig zu machen, und schenkte ihm vierzehn Söhne und drei Töchter.	All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6	Sie alle folgten der Anweisung ihrer Väter Asaf, Jedutun und Heman. Den Gesang im Haus des Herrn begleiteten sie mit Zimbeln, Harfen und Leiern. Das war ihr Dienst im Haus Gottes auf Anweisung des Königs.	All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
7	Zusammen mit ihren Brüdern zählten sie 288 Mann. Alle waren im Gesang für den Herrn ausgebildet und waren darin richtige Meister.	So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the Lord, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
8	Sie warfen Lose um die Reihenfolge der Aufgaben: für den Kleinsten genau wie für den Größten, für den Meister wie für den Schüler.	And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
9	Das erste Los fiel auf Josef, aus der Familie von Asaf. Der Zweite in der Reihe war Gedalja: er selbst, seine Brüder und seine Söhne.	Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:
10	Der Dritte war Sakkur,	The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
11	der Vierte war Zeri,	The fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
12	der Fünfte war Netanja,	The fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
13	der Sechste war Bukkija,	The sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
14	der Siebte war Asarela,	The seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
15	der Achte war Jeschaja,	The eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
16	der Neunte war Mattanja,	The ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
17	der Zehnte war Schimi,	The tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
18	der Elfte war Asarel,	The eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
19	der Zwölfte war Haschabja.	The twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
