1	Die Abteilungen der Priester Auch die Nachkommen Aarons hatten ihre Abteilungen. Aarons Söhne waren Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.	Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2	Nadab und Abihu starben vor ihrem Vater. Sie hatten keine Kinder, deshalb wurden Eleasar und Itamar Priester.	But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.
3	David teilte sie in Dienstgruppen ein. Zadok, ein Sohn von Eleasar, und Ahimelech, ein Sohn von Itamar, halfen ihm.	And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.
4	Eleasar hatte mehr männliche Nachkommen als Itamar. Deshalb teilte man sie so ein: 16 Nachkommen von Eleasar wurden Familienoberhäupter, aber nur acht von Itamar.	And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
5	Man teilte die einen wie die anderen durch Lose ein. Oberste des Heiligtums und Oberste Gottes gab es unter den Nachkommen von beiden, Eleasar und Itamar.	Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
6	Der Schreiber Schemaja, der Sohn des Netanel, ein Levit, schrieb sie alle auf. Dabei waren anwesend: der König; die Beamten; der Priester Zadok; Ahimelech, der Sohn des Abjatar; sowie die Familienoberhäupter der Priester und der Leviten. Zuerst wurde bei den Nachkommen von Eleasar gelost, erst eine Familie, dann eine zweite. Erst danach kam eine Familie der Nachkommen Itamars.	And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

19	In diesen Gruppen sollten sie zu ihrem Dienst in das Haus des Herrn kommen. So hatte es ihr Vorfahre Aaron angeordnet, wie es ihm der Herr, der Gott Israels, aufgetragen hatte.	These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the Lord, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded him.
20	Die Liste der Leviten Das sind die Leviten, die nicht Priester waren: Von den Nachkommen des Amram war es Schubael. Von den Nachkommen des Schubael war es Jechdeja.	And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.
21	Von Rehabja, genauer von den Nachkommen des Rehabja, war Jischija der erste.	Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
22	Von den Jizharitern war es Schelomit. Von den Nachkommen des Schelomit war es Jahat.	Of the Izharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Jahath.
23	Von den Hebronitern waren es der erste Jerija, der zweite Amarja, der dritte Jahasiel und der vierte Jekamam.	And the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24	Von den Nachkommen des Usiel war es Micha. Von den Nachkommen des Micha war es Schamir.	Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.
25	Der Bruder von Micha war Jischija. Von den Nachkommen des Jischija war es Secharja.	The brother of Michah was Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah; Zechariah.
26	Die Nachkommen des Merari waren Machli und Muschi, und Enkel, die von Meraris Sohn Jaasija stammten.	The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.
27	Die Enkel von Merari, die von Jaasija stammten, waren Schoham, Sakkur und Ibri.	The sons of Merari by Jaaziah; Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.
28	Der Sohn von Machli war Eleasar. Der hatte keine Nachkommen.	Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.
29	Von Kisch und den Nachkommen des Kisch war es Jerachmeel.	Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Jerahmeel.
30	Die Söhne des Muschi waren Machli, Eder und Jerimot. Das sind die Nachkommen der Leviten, nach ihren Familien geordnet.	The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.
31	Auch sie warfen Lose ganz wie ihre Verwandten, die Nachkommen Aarons. Das galt für die Familienoberhäupter genauso wie für die jüngsten Mitglieder. Anwesend waren König David, Zadok, Ahimelech und die Familienoberhäupter der Priester und Leviten.	These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
