1	Völker erklären Gott den Krieg EIN LIED, EIN PSALM, VON ASAF.	Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2	Gott, zieh dich nicht untätig zurück! Schweig nicht und bleib nicht still, Gott!	For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3	Sieh doch, wie deine Feinde toben, wie sie den Kopf hoch tragen, wenn sie dich mit Hass verfolgen!	They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4	Sie planen Anschläge gegen dein Volk und verschwören sich gegen alle, die unter deinem Schutz stehen.	They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5	Sie sagen: »Kommt, wir wollen sie auslöschen! Dann wird sich keiner mehr an ein Volk mit dem Namen Israel erinnern!«	For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6	Ja, sie haben sich gegen dich verbündet und erklären dir vereint den Krieg:	The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7	die Zelte Edoms und die Ismaeliter, die Moabiter und die Hagariter.	Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8	Das Gebirge Seir, die Ammoniter und Amalekiter, die Philister samt den Bewohnern von Tyros.	Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
9	Sogar die Assyrer haben sich ihnen angeschlossen, sie verstärken die Nachkommen Lots. Sela.	Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
10	Mach sie nieder wie damals die Midianiter, wie Sisera, wie Jabin am Bach Kischon!	Which perished at En–dor: they became as dung for the earth.
11	Bei En-Dor wurden sie geschlagen. Sie blieben liegen als Dünger für das Feld.	Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
12	Behandle ihre Fürsten wie Oreb und Seeb, alle ihre Anführer wie Sebach und Zalmunna!	Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
13	Die haben gesagt: »Lasst uns das Gebiet erobern, das Gott ihnen zum Wohnen gegeben hat!«	O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
14	Mein Gott, wirble sie im Kreis umher wie Strohbüschel vor dem Wind.	As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
15	Zerstöre sie wie Feuer, das Wälder verbrennt, wie eine Flamme, die Berghänge versengt.	So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
16	So jage sie auseinander durch deinen Wirbelwind! Versetze sie in Schrecken durch deinen Sturm!	Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.
17	Treib ihnen die Schamesröte ins Gesicht! Herr, nach deinem Namen sollen sie fragen!	Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
18	Enttäuscht und voller Angst müssen sie davon, für immer in Schimpf und Schande untergehen.	That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.
19	Dann werden sie erkennen: Herr ist dein Name, du allein bist der Höchste über die ganze Erde.	—
