| 2 | Tem misericordia de mim, Senhor, porque sou fraco: sara-me, Senhor, porque os meus ossos estão perturbados. | Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. |
| 3 | Até a minha alma está perturbada; mas tu, Senhor, até quando? | My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O Lord, how long? |
| 4 | Volta-te, Senhor, livra a minha alma: salva-me por tua benignidade. | Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake. |
| 5 | Porque na morte não ha lembrança de ti; no sepulchro quem te louvará? | For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? |
