| 2 | Lartoni një këngë dhe i bini dajres, harpës melodioze bashkë me lirën. | Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. |
| 3 | I bini borisë ditën e hënës së re, ditën e hënës së plotë, ditën e festës sonë. | Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. |
| 4 | Sepse ky është një statut për Izraelin, një ligj i Perëndisë të Jakobit. | For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob. |
| 5 | Ai e caktoi si një dëshmi te Jozefi, kur doli kundër vendit të Egjiptit. Atëherë unë dëgjova një gjuhë që nuk e kuptoja; | This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not. |
| 6 | "O Izrael, unë e hoqa barrën nga shpatullat e tua; duart e tua e kanë lënë shportën. | I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots. |
| 7 | Kur ishe keq ti më klithe mua dhe unë të çlirova; t'u përgjigja i fshehur në bubullimë, të vura në provë në ujërat e Meribas. (Sela) | Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah. |
| 8 | Dëgjo, o populli im, dhe unë do të qortoj. O Izrael, sikur ti të më dëgjoje! | Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; |
| 9 | Mos pastë në mesin tënd asnjë perëndi të huaj dhe mos adhuro asnjë perëndi të huaj. | There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. |
| 10 | Unë jam Zoti, Perëndia yt, që të nxori nga vendi i Egjiptit; hap gojën tënde dhe unë do të ta mbush. | I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. |
| 11 | Por populli im nuk e ka dëgjuar zërin tim dhe Izraeli nuk më është bindur. | But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. |
| 12 | Prandaj i braktisa në ashpërsinë e zemrës së tyre, me qëllim që të ecnin sipas bindjeve të tyre. | So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels. |
| 13 | Ah, sikur populli im të më dëgjonte, sikur Izraeli të ecte në rrugët e mia! | Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! |
| 14 | Do të poshtëroja menjëherë armiqtë e tij dhe do ta ktheja dorën time kundër kundërshtarëve të tij. | I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. |
| 15 | Ata që urrejnë Zotin do t'i nënshtroheshin dhe fati i tyre do të caktohej përjetë. | The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever. |
| 16 | Dhe unë do ta ushqeja (Izraelin) me grurin më të mirë dhe do ta ngopja me mjaltin që pikon nga shkëmbi". | He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee. |
