| 2 | The Lord schal bilde Jerusalem; and schal gadere togidere the scateryngis of Israel. | While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. |
| 3 | Which Lord makith hool men contrit in herte; and byndith togidere the sorewes of hem. | Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. |
| 4 | Which noumbrith the multitude of sterris; and clepith names to alle tho. | His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. |
| 5 | Oure Lord is greet, and his vertu is greet; and of his wisdom is no noumbre. | Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: |
