| 1 | Yahweh, my heart isn’t haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me. | Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. |
| 2 | Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me. | Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. |
| 3 | Israel, hope in Yahweh, from this time forward and forever more. | Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever. |
