| 1 | Alleluja. Lauda, Jerusalem, Dominum ; lauda Deum tuum, Sion. | Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. |
| 2 | Quoniam confortavit seras portarum tuarum ; benedixit filiis tuis in te. | The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. |
| 3 | Qui posuit fines tuos pacem, et adipe frumenti satiat te. | He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. |
| 4 | Qui emittit eloquium suum terræ : velociter currit sermo ejus. | He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. |
| 5 | Qui dat nivem sicut lanam ; nebulam sicut cinerem spargit. | Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. |
| 6 | Mittit crystallum suam sicut buccellas : ante faciem frigoris ejus quis sustinebit ? | The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground. |
