| 절 | Vulgata Clementina | King James Version |
|---|---|---|
In finem, pro octava. Psalmus David. | In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
Salvum me fac, Domine, quoniam defecit sanctus, quoniam diminutæ sunt veritates a filiis hominum. | For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
Vana locuti sunt unusquisque ad proximum suum ; labia dolosa, in corde et corde locuti sunt. | If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Disperdat Dominus universa labia dolosa, et linguam magniloquam. | The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Qui dixerunt : Linguam nostram magnificabimus ; labia nostra a nobis sunt. Quis noster dominus est ? | The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Propter miseriam inopum, et gemitum pauperum, nunc exsurgam, dicit Dominus. Ponam in salutari ; fiducialiter agam in eo. | Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
Eloquia Domini, eloquia casta ; argentum igne examinatum, probatum terræ, purgatum septuplum. | For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Tu, Domine, servabis nos, et custodies nos a generatione hac in æternum. | —
In circuitu impii ambulant : secundum altitudinem tuam multiplicasti filios hominum. | —
