|---|---|---|
benedic anima mea Domino Domine Deus meus magnificatus es nimis gloria et decore indutus es | Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
amictus luce quasi vestimento extendens caelos ut pellem | Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
qui tegis aquis cenacula eius qui ponis nubes currum tuum qui ambulas super pinnas venti | Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
qui facis angelos tuos spiritus ministros tuos ignem urentem | Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
qui fundasti terram super basem suam non commovebitur in saeculum et in saeculum | Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
abysso quasi vestimento operuisti eam super montes stabunt aquae | The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
ab increpatione tua fugient a voce tonitrui tui formidabunt | He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
ascendent montes et descendent campi ad locum quem fundasti eis | The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
terminum posuisti quem non pertransibunt nec revertentur ut operiant terram | He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
qui emittis fontes in convallibus ut inter medios montes fluant | He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
ut bibant omnia animalia regionum et reficiat onager sitim suam | For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
super ea volucres caeli morabuntur de medio nemorum dabunt vocem | As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
qui inrigas montes de cenaculis tuis de fructu operum tuorum implebitur terra | Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
germinans herbam iumentis et faenum servituti hominum ut educat panem de terra | For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
et vinum laetificat cor hominis ad exhilarandam faciem oleo panis autem cor hominis roborat | As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
saturabuntur ligna Domini cedri Libani quas plantasti | For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
ibi aves nidificabunt milvo abies domus eius | But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;
montes excelsi cervis petra refugium ericiis | To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
fecit lunam per tempora sol cognovit occubitum suum | The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
posuisti tenebras et facta est nox in ipsa moventur omnes bestiae silvae | Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
leones rugientes ad praedam et quaerentes a Deo escam sibi | Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
oriente sole recedent et in speluncis suis cubabunt | Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
dante te illis colligent aperiente manum tuam replebuntur bono | —
abscondes vultum tuum et turbabuntur auferes spiritum eorum et deficient et in pulverem suum revertentur | —
emittes spiritum tuum et creabuntur et instaurabis faciem terrae | —
sit gloria Domini in sempiternum laetabitur Dominus in operibus suis | —
qui respicit terram et tremet tangit montes et fumabunt | —
cantabo Domino in vita mea psallam Deo quamdiu sum | —
placeat ei eloquium meum ego autem laetabor in Domino | —
deficiant peccatores de terra et impii ultra non sint benedic anima mea Domino | —
