Lima mengi oti toe, Imam Bohe Ananias pai' ba hangkuja dua pangkeni to Yahudi hilou hi Kaisarea hante hadua to pante mololita, hanga' -na Tertulus. Karata-ra hi ria, hilou-ramo hi Gubernur Feliks mpobua' pangadua' -ra. | And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
Jadi', Gubernur Feliks mpohubui tauna mpokeni Paulus tumai hi poromua-ra. Tertulus ulu to rapalogai mololita. Natepu'u-mi mpakilu Paulus hewa toi: "Tuama-kai Gubernur Feliks to kibila'! Ngkai poparenta-nu, kai' ntodea-nu tuwu' hante kalompea'. Pai' ngkai kapantea-nu mohawa', wori' -mi to tekolompehii hi rala ngata-kai. | And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
Hawe'ea toe kitu'u oa' hi lolo tanuana' -kai, pai' uma ria kaputua-nakai mpo'uli' wori' wori' tarima kasi. | We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
Aga, bona neo' mpokerei mara tempo Gubernur, kusarumaka ahi' ngkai Gubernur mpe'epei-ka-kuwo lolita-ku to rede' toi. | Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
"Ta'uli' -mi-hawo, Paulus toei-e mai, tauna to mpobalinai' ngata. Hiapa-apa-i mpo'usoki to Yahudi mpo'ewa topoparenta. Pai' hi'a toe-mi pangkeni-ra to mpotuku' tudui' -na Yesus to Nazaret. | For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
Meliu ngkai toe, doko' -i mpobaboi' Tomi Alata'ala. Toe pai' kihoko' -imi. ((Ria patuju-kai wengi mpohurai kara-kara-na ntuku' atura agama-kai moto-kaiwo. | Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
Tapi' kapala' tantara Lisias mpe'agoi-i ngkai pale-kai. | But the chief captain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
Pai' na'uli' hema to doko' mpakilu-i kana tumai hi Tuama Gubernur.)) Jadi', ane nuparesa' -i mpai', nu'epe moto ngkai wiwi-na kamakono-na hawe'ea pangadua' -kai toi." | Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
Hawe'ea to Yahudi to ria hi retu, medulu wo'o-ramo-rawo mepakilu pai' mporohoi lolita Tertulus toe. | And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
Oti toe, Gubernur mpohuka' -ki Paulus bona mololita-i. Pololita-nami Paulus, na'uli': "Goe' mpu'u-a, apa' rawai' -a loga mpo'uli' noa' -ku hi Tuama Gubernur. Apa' ku'inca mompae-mpae-mi Gubernur jadi' topobotuhi hi rala ngata-kai. | Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
Ma'ala moto nupewulihi', lako' hampulu' romengi to liu, hilou-a hi Yerusalem bona mepue' hi rala Tomi Alata'ala. | Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
Uma-a hangkania raruai' momehono' hante hema-hema ba mpo'usoki ntodea hi Tomi Alata'ala ba hi tomi posampayaa, ba hiapa-apa hi rala ngata. | And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
Hiaa' uma wo'o-di ma'ala rapopohiloi-ko kamakono-na pangadua' -ra toe we'i to rapangadu' -ka. | Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
Sampale-di to kupangaku' hi Gubernur, aku' mpotuku' Tudui' Pue' Yesus, to rasapuaka bali' -ku toera. Ntuku' tudui' toe-mi mepue' -a hi Alata'ala to rapue' ntu'a-kai owi, pai' bate kuparasaya hawe'ea to te'uki' hi rala Atura Musa pai' sura nabi-nabi. | But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
Poncarumakaa-ku hi Alata'ala, bate hibalia hante poncarumakaa bali' -ku toera mai. Kusarumaka Alata'ala mpotuwu' nculii' hawe'ea tomate hi eo mpeno, lompe' to monoa' ingku-ra lompe' to mogau' dada'a. | And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Toe pai' kuhuduwukui oa' mpobabehi po'ingku to lompe', bona ku'inca hi rala nono-ku ka'uma-na ria sala' -ku, ba hi poncilo Alata'ala ba hi poncilo manusia'. | And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
"Ba hangkuja mpae-mi, uma-a ria hilou hi Yerusalem. Tapi' bo'u toi, hilou-a hi Yerusalem, mpokeni doi petulungi hi ompi' -ku to Yahudi pai' mpokeni pepue' -ku hi Alata'ala. | Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
Bula-ku mpokeni pepue' -ku toe, ba hangkuja dua to Yahudi to ngkai propinsi Asia mpohirua' -ka hi Tomi Alata'ala, ka'oti-ku mpobabehi ada pompobohoi' agama. Nto'u toe, uma-hawo ria wori' tauna dohe-ku, pai' uma wo'o ria to mewongoi. | Whereupon certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, neither with multitude, nor with tumult.
Kakoo-kono-na, ke to Yahudi to ngkai Asia toera-dile to kana tumai mpakilu-a hi Gubernur, ane ria mpu'u sala' -ku hi hira' -e. | Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.
Tapi' uma-ra-rawo ria hi rehe'i. Jadi', agina bali' -ku to ria-mi hi rehe'i mpo'uli' napa sala' -ku to rarua' hi karaparesaa' -ku wengi topohura agama hi Yerusalem. Raparesa' -a toe, uma ria sala' -ku raruai'. | Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,
Muntu' lolita-ku to hamela-wadi to rapodaa' nto'u toe. Bula-ku mokore hi laintongo' -ra, ku'uli' mpesukui hewa toi: `Pai' -a raparesa' toi, sabana kuparasaya katuwu' -ra nculii' tauna tomate.'" | Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
Gubernur Feliks mpo'inca lia napa to raparasaya tauna to mepangala' hi Yesus. Toe pai' na'uli': "Hudu rei-mi ulu pohura-ta. Kubotuhi moto mpai' kara-kara toi, ane rata-ipi kapala' tantara Lisias." | And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
Oti toe, nahawai' tadulako-na mpojaga Paulus. Tapi' nau' rajaga-i, uma-i hewa tauna to ratarungku' mpu'u. Apa' rapalogai moto-i modao', pai' rapiliu moto bale-na mpowai' -i napa to naparaluu. | And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
Ba hangkuja eo ngkai ree, rata wo'o-imi Gubernur Feliks hante tobine-na, hanga' -na Drusila. Drusila toei to Yahudi. Feliks mpohubui tantara-na mpokeni Paulus tumai hi nyanyoa-ra, bona na'epe lolita-na Paulus mpokahangai' pepangala' -na hi Kristus Yesus. | And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.
Hi rala pololita-na Paulus, na'uli' -ki Feliks hewa toi: kita' kana monoa' po'ingku-ta, pai' kana mpokuasai konoa nono-ta moto, apa' rata mpai' Eo Kiama, nto'u Alata'ala mpobotuhi kara-kara hawe'ea manusia'. Mpo'epe toe, kame'eka' -nami Feliks, na'uli': "Wae-mi ulu! Kukio' wo'o-damo-ko mpai', ane ria loga-ku." | And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
Kakoo-kono-na, Feliks mposarumaka Paulus mpowai' -i doi bona nabahaka-i. Toe pai' jau-i nakio' bona napololitai-i. | He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.
Feliks doko' ngala' nono-ra to Yahudi, toe pai' napelele' moto-i Paulus ratarungku' rompae kahae-na. Timpaliu rompae toe, Feliks rasampei, pai' Perkius Festus jadi' gubernur to bo'u. | But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.
