Hangkani ria-ra to Parisi pai' guru agama Yahudi to ngkai Yerusalem mpohirua' -ki Yesus. | Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
Mpohilo-ra ba hangkuja dua topetuku' Yesus ngkoni' hante uma-ra mowano ncala' ntuku' ada agama Yahudi. | And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
Apa' hawe'ea to Yahudi, mo'ipi lia-ra mpotuku' ada totu'a-ra, hangkedia' -nami hira' to mpotuku' tudui' -ra to Parisi. Ko'ia-ra ngkoni' ane ko'ia-ra mowano ntuku' ada. | For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
Ane nculii' -ra ngkai pomako' -ra hi rala ngata, kana moniu' -ra ulu ntuku' ada kako'ia-ra mpoganga pongkoni'. Pai' wori' wo'o-pi ada to ratarima ngkai totu'a-ra to ratuku' lia, hewa rapa' -na ada mpobohoi' sangkiri', kura pai' rewa to rababehi ngkai ngkala. | And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
Toe pai' to Parisi nte guru-guru agama toera we'i mpokamaro Yesus, ra'uli': "Napa pai' ana'guru-nu, uma-ra mpotuku' ada totu'a-tae? Ngkoni' -ra, uma-ra mowano ncala'." | Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
Na'uli' Yesus: "Koi' -le, hi mali-na-wadi petuku' -ni hi Alata'ala! Makono mpu'u lolita to na'uki' nabi Yesaya owi to mpolowa-koi, hewa toi moni-na: Na'uli' Alata'ala: `Tauna tohe'era mpobila' -a hi wiwi-ra-wadi, nono-ra molaa ngkai Aku'. | He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Uma ria kalaua-ra mpopue' -a, apa' tudui' -ra tudui' manusia' -wadi, bela tudui' ngkai Aku'.' | Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Jadi', hawa' Alata'ala nikalempei' moto, hiaa' moroho lia-damo pongkakamu-ni ada manusia'." | For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Ngkai ree, na'uli' tena-raka Yesus: "Koi' -le, pante lia-koi mpelelii' hawa' Alata'ala bona mpotuku' ada-ni moto. | And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Hi rala Atura Musa te'uki' hewa toi: `Kana tabila' tuama pai' tina-ta.' Pai' `hema to mpotipo' tuama-na ba tina-na kana rapatehi.' | For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
— | But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
Hiaa' koi' metudui' hewa toi: uma-pi mingki' tabila' tina pai' tuama-ta, asala ta'uli' -raka hewa toi: `Napa to masipato' kuwai' -kokoi totu'a, oti-mi kupajadi' pepue' hi Alata'ala.' Tauna to mpo'uli' hewa toe, nibahaka-imi ngkai kinolo-na mpotulungi tina pai' tuama-na. | And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
Jadi', Lolita Alata'ala uma nisaile', ada to nitarima ngkai totu'a-ni, tetu lau-mi to nitudui' -raka ntodea. Wori' -pidi to hewa tohe'i to nibabehi." | Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
Oti toe Yesus mpokio' wo'o-mi tauna to wori' bona mpomohui' -i, na'uli' -raka: "Epe omea-koi bona ni'inca: | And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
Nau' ba napa-napa to takoni', uma-hawo toe to mpakada'a-ta hi poncilo Alata'ala. Kehi to mehupa' ngkai rala nono-ta, toe-die to mpakada'a-ta hi poncilo Alata'ala-e. (( | There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
Jadi', hema-koi to tilingaa, pe'epei lompe'!))" | If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Oti toe, Yesus mpalahii tauna to wori', pai' -i mesua' hi rala tomi. Ana'guru-na mpekune' -i ba napa patuju tudui' -na toe we'i. | And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
Na'uli' mpo'uli' -raka: "Ha uma wo'o-koiwo nipaha-e? Pongkoni' to mesua' hi rala nganga-ta ngkai mali-na, bela-hawo toe to mpakada'a-ta hi poncilo Alata'ala. | And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
Apa' pongkoni' toe, uma mesua' hi rala nono-ta. Mesua' hi ta'i-ta-wadi, pai' ngkai ree kaliliu tatadi." Hante lolita-na toe, Yesus mpakanoto ka'uma-na ria pongkoni' to rapalii'. | Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
Na'uli' tena-raka: "Aga kehi pai' gau' -ta, toe-dile to mpakada'a-ta hi poncilo Alata'ala-e, apa' kehi pai' gau' -ta toe mehupa' ngkai nono-ta. | And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
Ngkai nono manusia' mehupa' pekiri to dada'a, pai' alaa-na ria to mogau' sala' hi tobine ba hi tomane, manako, mepatehi, | For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
mobualo', mebagiu, metipo', pai' mpobabehi wori' nyala to dada'a. Mpokahina anu doo, mohingi', molangko nono, nakeni hina nono to dada'a, uma tuduia'. | Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
Hawe'ea gau' dada'a to hewa toe-mi lau mehupa' ngkai nono manusia'. Toe-mi to mpakada'a tauna hi poncilo Alata'ala-e." | All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Ngkai ree, hilou-imi Yesus hi tana' to mohu' hi ngata Tirus, pai' -i mesua' hi rala tomi. Patuju-na bona ke neo' ra'incai tauna karata-na. Aga karata-na uma ma'ala wuniia'. | And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
— | For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
Hi ngata toe, ria wo'o hadua totina, ana' -na tobine kahawia'. Kana'epe-na totina toei karia-na Yesus hi ngata, katumai-nami mowingkotu' hi nyanyoa-na mpopetulungi, na'uli': "Popalai-ka-kuwo seta to mpohawi' ana' -ku!" Hiaa' tobine toei, bela-i to Yahudi, to Fenisia-i-hana ngkai tana' Siria. | The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
Toe pai' na'uli' Yesus mpo'uli' -ki: "Aku', mpotulungi to Yahudi-a-kuna ulu. Uma lompe' mpo'ala' koni' ana', pai' rarora-ki dike'." | But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
Na'uli' -mi-hawo tobine toei: "Makono moto-di Pue'. Aga dike' to hi une' meja' wo'o-hawo-le, biasa-ra ngkoni' koni' ana' to mohewu' ngkai lolo meja'." | And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.
Ngkai ree, na'uli' -mi Yesus: "Kono wo'o-kowo petompoi' -nu! Wae-pi, nculii' -moko, malai-mi seta to mpesuai' ana' -nu." | And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
Kanculii' -nami totina toei. Rata hi tomi, nahilo ana' -na rodo-imi hi poturua-na, apa' malai mpu'u-mi seta. | And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
Ngkai ree, Yesus mpalahii ngata Tirus mpokaliliu pomako' -na ntara hi ngata Sidon, pai' nculii' wo'o-imi hilou hi rano Galilea, rata hi tana' Dekapolis. | And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
Hi ree, ria to mpokeni hadua tauna to wongo pai' to neo' uma howa' mololita. Merapi' -ra bona najama-i-hawo. | And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
Yesus mpokeni tauna toei ngkai laintongo' ntodea. Ka'oti-na napatani' -i, nape'uso karawe-na hi tilinga-na ntimalia, mpetiliku-i, pai' -i mpojama jila' -na tauna toei. | And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
Oti toe, ngkongoa' -imi hi langi' mpo'osu' inoha' -na pai' mpo'uli': "Mobea-mi!" (Hi rala basa-ra to Yahudi, moni-na hewa toi: "Efata!") | And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
Pe'epe mpu'u-imi-hawo, pai' jila' -na molengkue' -mi. Lonto' -mi-hawo pololita-na. | And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
Ngkai ree, Yesus mpotagi-ra tauna to wori' bona neo' ra'uli' hi hema-hema napa to jadi' tohe'e. Aga nau' wae kanatagi-ra, hangkedi' -na lau-mi karatolele-na. | And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
Uma mowo kakonce-ra ntodea, ntora ra'uli' -mi: "Hawe'ea to nababehi, lompe'. Tauna to wongo napaka'uri', pe'epe-ramo! Tauna to uma howa' mololita, howa' -ramo mololita!" | And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
