Oti toe, Yesus me'ongko' ngkai ngata toe hilou hi ngata-na moto hante ana'guru-na. | And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
Hi eo pepuea', hilou-i hi tomi posampayaa mpotudui' tauna. Wori' tauna hi ree. Kampo'epe-ra tudui' Yesus, konce-ra ra'uli': "Hema-di to mpotudui' -i hawe'ea toe-e? Kapantea napa-di to ria hi Hi'a-e? Beiwa pai' ma'ala-i mpobabehi anu mekoncehi? | And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Bo topowangu tomi-i-wadi, ana' Maria. Ompi' -na, hira' Yakobus, Yoses, Yudas pai' Simon. Ompi' -na tobine, ria moto wo'o-ra dohe-ta hi rehe'i." Toe pai' oja' -ra mepangala' hi Yesus. | Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
Ngkai ree, Yesus mpo'uli' -raka: "Hadua nabi bate rabila' hiapa kahilouaa-na. Aga hi ngata-na pai' tomi-na, pai' dohe ompi' -na moto, uma lau-i rabila'." | But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
— | And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
Jadi', Yesus mpokehele-ra apa' uma-ra mepangala'. Toe pai' uma-i bisa mpobabehi wori' anu mekoncehi hi ria. Sampale to nababehi, mpojama ba hangkuja dua topeda' bona mo'uri' -ra. | And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
Mpokio' -i ana'guru-na to hampulu' rodua, nasuro-ra rodua-rodua hampo'emaa', pai' nawai' -ra kuasa mpopalai anudaa'. | And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Kako'ia-ra me'ongko', natudui' -ra hewa toi: "Neo' -koi ngkeni napa-napa hi pomakoa' -ni, muntu' lua' -wadi. Neo' ngkeni pongkoni' ba boku ba doi hi rala karepe'. | And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
Ma'ala moto-koi mpake' lihi witi', aga neo' ngkeni rontonga' baju." | But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
Na'uli' wo'o-mi: "Ane rata-koi hi hameha' ngata pai' ratarima-koi hi tomi hantomi, mo'oha' hi ree-mokoi duu' -ni kaliliu hilou mpai' hi ngata ntani' -na. | And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
Ane ria pue' ngata to uma dota mpotarima-koi, ane oja' -ra mpo'epe lolita to nikeni, wae kanipalahii-na ngata-ra, tonta awu to mentaka' hi palanta' witi' -ni, tanda kanahuku' -ra mpai' Alata'ala." | And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Ka'oti-na Yesus mpotudui' ana'guru-na to hampulu' rodua toera, me'ongko' -ramo hilou mpotudui' tauna bona medea-ra ngkai jeko' -ra. | And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
Wori' seta to rapopalai. Pai' wori' wo'o tauna to peda' ragelai' hante lana pai' rapaka'uri'. | And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
Nto'u toe, Magau' Herodes Antipas mpo'epe kareba napa to nababehi Yesus, apa' hanga' Yesus rapotompo'wiwi hiapa-apa. Ria to mpo'uli': "Yesus toei lou, Yohanes Topeniu' -ile tuwu' nculii'! Toe-hana pai' ria baraka' -na mpobabehi tanda mekoncehi toe-e." | And king Herod heard of him; (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
Aga ria wo'o to mpo'uli': "Yesus toei, nabi Elia to owi-i." Hiaa' ria wo'o to mpo'uli': "Nabi mpu'u-i, hewa nabi to owi." | Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
Kana'epe-na Magau' Herodes tohe'e, na'uli' -mi: "Yohanes Topeniu' mpu'u-i-tano Yesus toei lou-e! Kupehubui wengi rapata' wuroko' -na, aga tuwu' nculii' -imi." | But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.
— | For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.
Rahoko' mpu'u-imi, rahoo' pai' -i ratarungku'. | For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
Ane Herodias-e, mowuku-damo nono-na hi Yohanes, doko' napatehi. Aga uma-i mologa mpopadupa' roe-na toe, | Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:
apa' Herodes mpohubui tantara-na mpojaga-i hi rala tarungku'. Me'eka' -i mpatehi Yohanes apa' na'inca, tauna to monoa' -i pai' moroli' wo'o-i. Ane Herodes mpo'epe Yohanes mpololitai-i, mokarara' nono-na, aga goe' wo'o-i mpo'epe-i mololita. | For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.
Hi eo pompokiwoia kaputua Magau' Herodes, ria-mi loga-na Herodias. Hi eo toe, Magau' Herodes mpobabehi posusa' mpokiwoi eo kaputua-na. Mpokio' -i wori' maradika, tadulako pai' pangkeni to ngkai tana' Galilea. | And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee;
Bula posusa' toe, ana' -na Herodias tobine mesua' pai' modero'. Goe' lia-i Magau' Herodes mpohilo podero' toronaa toei, wae wo'o torata-na. Na'uli' mpo'uli' -ki toronaa toei: "Ane ria ba napa to nupokono, perapi' -mi, bate kuwai' -ko." | And when the daughter of the said Herodias came in, and danced, and pleased Herod and them that sat with him, the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
Mosumpa wo'o-i, na'uli': "Nau' ba napa mpu'u-mi to nuperapi', nau' hantanga' ngkai poparenta-ku, bate kuwai' -ko!" | And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
Palai-nami toronaa toei hilou mpekune' tina-na, na'uli': "Ina', napa to kuperapi' -e?" Na'uli' tina-na: "Perapi' -mi woo' -na Yohanes Topeniu'!" | And she went forth, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
Kanculii' -nami hilou hi Magau', kaliliu na'uli': "Merapi' -a woo' -na Yohanes Topeniu' wae lau, ratu'u hi lolo dula." | And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
Mpo'epe pomperapia' toe-di, soho' lia-mi nono-na Magau'. Aga uma-pi ma'ala nadii' nculii' lolita-na hi toronaa toe, apa' mpolia' mosumpa-imi we'i ra'epe torata-na. | And the king was exceeding sorry; yet for his oath’s sake, and for their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
Kaliliu napahawa' hadua tantara-na hilou mpo'ala' woo' Yohanes Topeniu'. Kahilou-nami-hawo tantara toe hi tarungku' mpopata' wuroko' -na. | And immediately the king sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
Woo' -na toe nakeni tumai natu'u hi lolo dula pai' natonu-ki toronaa toei, pai' toronaa toei mpowai' tina-na. | And brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel: and the damsel gave it to her mother.
Kara'epe-na topetuku' -na Yohanes kamate-nami, hilou-ramo-rawo mpo'ala' woto-na, pai' ratana. | And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
Suro to nahubui Yesus mpopalele Lolita Alata'ala wengi, nculii' -ramo ngkai pomakoa' -ra, pai' ratutura-miki Yesus hawe'ea to rababehi pai' to ratudui' -raka ntodea. | And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
| And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
Jadi', mohawi' sakaya-ramo hilou hi kawaoa' -na. | And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
Ntaa' pehilo moto-di-hana tauna pe'ongko' -rae, pai' ra'inca wo'o toaa' -ra. Jadi', wori' tauna ngkai hawe'ea ngata to mohu', pokeno-rami hilou hi wiwi' rano, rata meri'ulu lau-ra ngkai Yesus hante ana'guru-na. | And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
Pehompo-na Yesus ngkai sakaya, nahilo-hawo wori' tauna mpopea-i. Metumu' -mi ahi' -na mpohilo-ra, apa' hiloa-ra hewa bima to uma te'ewu. Kanatudui' -rami wori' nyala. | And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
Neo' solo-mi eo, tumai-ramo ana'guru-na mpomohui' -i, ra'uli' -ki: "Guru, wao' -hana hi rehe'i lau, pai' neo' limpa-mi eo. | And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:
Agina tahubui-ramo tauna toera lau hilou hi ngata pai' tomi hi bonea to mohu' bona mpo'oli pongkoni' -ra." | Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
Na'uli' Yesus: "Koi' -mi to mpopokoni' -ra." Hampetompoi' ana'guru-na: "Ei'! Ha napa-mi-kaina to kiwai' -rakae? Nau' ro'atu doi pera' kipope'oli-ki roti, uma-le hono' mpopokoni' tauna to hewa toe lau kadea-ra." | He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
Na'uli' Yesus: "Kamata pe', hangkuja meha' roti to ria hi koi' -e." Ka'oti-na rapehiloi, ra'uli': "Ria-le, lima meha' -wadi, pai' rongkaju bau' uru." | He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
Ngkai ree, Yesus mpohubui tauna to wori' mohura omea mopantuda-ntuda hi kowo', apa' wori' kowo' to mata' nto'u toe. | And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
Pohura-rami pantuda-ntuda, butu ntuda-na ria nte ha'atu, ria wo'o to nte lima mpulu'. | And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
Oti toe, na'ala' -mi roti to lima meha' pai' uru to rongkaju, pai' -i ngkongoa' hi langi' mosampaya. Oti toe, napihe-pihe-mi roti, pai' nawai' -raka ana'guru-na bona rabagi hi ntodea. Pai' uru to rongkaju, nabagi wo'o-raka omea. | And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
Ngkoni' omea-ramo duu' -ra bohu. | And they did all eat, and were filled.
Ka'oti-ra ngkoni', rarumpu-mi toro-na roti pai' bau', hampulu' roluncu-pi. | And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
Kawori' -ra to ngkoni' roti toe, ba ria nte lima ncobu paka' tomane. | And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.
Oti toe Yesus mpohubui ana'guru-na mosakaya meri'ulu hilou hi dipo rano hi ngata Betsaida, pai' -i mpohubui tauna to wori' nculii' hilou hi tomi-ra. | And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
Ponculi' -ra ntodea, manake' -imi hilou hi bulu' -na lou mosampaya. | And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
Mobengi-mi, hi laintongo' rano-ramo ana'guru-na. Hiaa' Hi'a, hi role-nai-pidi hadudua-na. | And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
Nahilo-hawo kawuhe-ramo mowose, apa' ngolu' mewui mpotomu sakaya-ra. Parabaja-mi, momako' -imi hilou hi lolo ue mpototoaka-ra, ntani' naliu-ra. | And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
Karahilo-na to momako' hi lolo ue, pe'au-rami me'eka', ra'uli': "Etu tope'ekahi!" | But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
Wilingkoroa omea-ramo mpohilo-i. Ncaliu na'uli' -raka Yesus: "Pakaroho nono-ni! Neo' me'eka'! Aku' -mile toi-e." | For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
Kangkahe' -nami hi rala sakaya dohe-ra, ngolu' wo'o haliu ora-mi. Uma mowo kakonce-ra, apa' kuyu-ramo. | And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
Apa' nau' ko'ia-ra mahae mpohilo tanda mekoncehi to nababehi hante roti-e ngone, ko'ia oa' monoto hi rala nono-ra kahema-na mpu'u-i Yesus. Morara' oa' -pidi nono-ra mepangala'. | For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.
Karata-ra hi dipo rano, mencore-ramo hi tana' to rahanga' Genesaret. | And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
Pehompo-ra ngkai sakaya, rahilo-rawo pue' ngata Kayesus-na to rata hi ngata-ra. | And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
Pokeno-rami hilou hi ngata-ngata to mohu', pai' -ra tumai mpokowa' doo-ra to peda'. Hiapa-apa kara'epea-na ria-i, hi ree wo'o-mi tauna mpokeni doo-ra topeda'. | And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
Hiapa kahiloua-na Yesus hi rala ngata bohe ba ngata kedi', rakeni tumai doo-ra topeda' pai' rapopoturu hi wiwi' karajaa, pai' -ra merapi' hi Yesus bona napiliu-ra mporeo nau' kampa' wuntu baju-na-wadi. Hawe'ea to mporeo baju-na, haliu mo'uri' -ramo. | And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
