¶ Long wanem, olgeta wan wan hetpris ol i kisim namel long ol man ol i makim bilong helpim ol man long ol samting long sait bilong God, inap long em i ken ofaim ol presen na ol sakrifais bilong sin wantaim, | For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
Husat i ken gat pasin sori long ol man i no gat save, na long ol husat i stap ausait long rot. Long wanem, long em em yet tu i pas raun nabaut wantaim ol sik. | Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
Na long dispela as bilong en em i mas, olsem long sait bilong ol manmeri, olsem tu long sait bilong em yet, long mekim ofa bilong ol sin. | And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
Na i no gat man i kisim dispela ona i kam long em yet, tasol em husat God i singautim, olsem em i singautim Eron. | And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
Olsem tu Kraist i no givim glori long em yet long kamap wanpela hetpris. Tasol em husat i tokim em, Yu stap Pikinini Man bilong mi, tude mi bin kamapim yu. | So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
Olsem em i tok tu long narapela ples, Yu stap wanpela pris oltaim oltaim i bihainim lain bilong Melkisedek. | As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Husat long ol de bilong bodi bilong em, taim em i bin ofaim ol beten i go antap na ol autim askim wantaim strongpela pasin bilong krai na ol aiwara long em husat em inap long kisim bek em long dai, na em i harim em bikos em i pret. | Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Maski em i wanpela Pikinini Man, yet em i lainim pasin bilong bihainim tok long ol dispela samting em i karim pen long en. | Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
Na taim em i kamap inap tru, em i kamap man i kamapim pasin bilong kisim bek bilong oltaim oltaim i go long olgeta husat i bihainim tok bilong em. | And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
¶ God i singautim em long stap wanpela hetpris i bihainim lain bilong Melkisedek. | Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Long husat mipela i gat planti samting long toktok, na ol i hatpela long toktok, taim yumi luksave olsem yupela i no sap long harim. | Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
Long wanem, nau long taim yupela i sapos long stap ol tisa, yupela i gat nid long wanpela i skulim yupela gen, dispela em ol namba wan as bilong tok bilong ol tok i kam long maus bilong God. Na yupela i kamap kain lain i gat nid long susu, na i no long strongpela abus. | For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Long wanem, olgeta wan wan husat i yusim susu em i no save gut long tok bilong stretpela pasin. Long wanem, em i wanpela bebi. | For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Tasol strongpela abus i bilong ol husat ol krismas bilong ol i pulap, yes, ol dispela husat bikos ol i yusim tok bilong God, ol i bin hatwokim ol hap samting bilong bodi bilong painimaut bilong ol, long kamap klia tru long samting i gutpela na i nogut wantaim. | But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
