| 16 | Long wanem, sampela, taim ol i bin harim pinis, i bin skrapim bel bilong God. Tasol i no olgeta husat i kam ausait long Isip long han bilong Moses. | For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. |
| 17 | Tasol wantaim husat em i gat bel hevi 40 yia? Ating i yes long dispela i wantaim ol husat i bin mekim sin, husat ol daibodi bilong ol i pundaun long ples i no gat man? | But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? |

| 19 | Olsem na yumi luksave long ol i no inap long go insait, bilong wanem, ol i no gat bilip. | So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. |
