¶ Olsem na taim yumi luksave tu long God i raunim yumi nabaut wantaim wanpela bikpela kain klaut olsem bilong ol witnes, larim yumi rausim i go long sait olgeta wan wan samting i hevi, na dispela sin i isi tru long raunim yumi olsem, na larim yumi ranim dispela resis God i putim long ai bilong yumi wantaim pasin bilong sanap strong long traim, | Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Taim yumi lukluk i go long Jisas, man bilong kamapim na pinisim bilong bilip tru bilong yumi. Husat, bilong tingim dispela amamas tru God i putim long ai bilong em, i stap strong yet long hevi bilong diwai kros, taim em i tingim dispela sem olsem em i samting nating, na God i sindaunim em long han sut bilong sia king bilong God. | Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Long wanem, tingim na skelim em husat i bin stap strong yet long kain tok i birua long tok yet bilong ol sinman i birua long em yet, nogut yupela i pilim les tru na hap i dai insait long ol tingting bilong yupela. | For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
¶ Yupela i no bin sanap na birua inap long blut, taim yupela i pait birua strong long sin. | Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Na yupela i bin lusim tingting long dispela toktok bilong strongim bel i toktok long yupela olsem ol pikinini, Pikinini man bilong mi, yu no ken tingim stikim bilong Bikpela em i samting nating, o hap i dai taim em i hatim yu. | And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Long wanem, husat Bikpela i laikim tru em i stikim, na wipim olgeta wan wan pikinini man husat em i kisim. | For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Sapos yupela i sanap strong yet long stikim bilong God, God i mekim wantaim yupela olsem wantaim ol pikinini man. Long wanem, em i wanem pikinini man husat papa i no stikim? | If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Tasol sapos yupela i no kisim stik bilong stretim, we olgeta i kisim hap long en, orait yupela i stap ol bastat, na i no ol pikinini man. | But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
Na moa tu yumi bin gat ol papa bilong bodi bilong yumi husat i stretim yumi, na yumi givim ol biknem tru. Ating i yes long em i mobeta moa long yumi ken stap aninit long Papa bilong ol spirit, na stap laip? | Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Long wanem, tru tumas, ol i stikim yumi long sampela de tasol i bihainim laik bilong ol yet. Tasol em i mekim bilong helpim yumi, inap long yumi ken stap lain i kisim hap bilong pasin holi bilong em. | For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
Nau i no gat stikim i stap nau i luk olsem i gat amamas tru, tasol em i hevi nogut tru. Tasol bihain long en em i karim ol kaikai bilong stretpela pasin i gat bel isi i go long ol husat ol i hatwokim long ol. | Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Olsem na litimapim ol dispela han i hangamap i go daun, na ol skru bilong lek i no gat strong. | Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
Na mekim ol liklik rot stretpela long ol lek bilong yu, nogut dispela samting i lek nogut ol i tanim i lusim rot. Tasol em i mobeta long dispela i ken kamap orait gen. | And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Bihainim bel isi wantaim olgeta man, na pasin holi, dispela samting sapos man i no gat em bai i no inap lukim Bikpela. | Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Lukluk strong, nogut wanpela man i ken fel long marimari bilong God. Nogut wanpela rop daunbilo bilong bel i pait tru, taim em i sut i kam antap, i givim hevi long yupela, na long dispela planti i ken kamap doti pinis. | Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Nogut i gat wanpela pamuk man, o man i no holi, olsem Iso, husat bilong kisim wanpela hap kaikai em i salim rait bilong em bilong namba wan pikinini. | Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Long wanem, yupela i save olsem wanem long bihain long en, taim em i gat laik long kisim blesing papa i givim pikinini, God i tok nogat olgeta long em. Long wanem, em i no painim pinis ples bilong tanim bel, maski em i painim dispela strong wantaim ol aiwara. | For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
¶ Long wanem, yupela i no kam long dispela maunten man i ken tasim, na dispela i kuk wantaim paia, o i go long blakpela, na tudak, na bikwin nogut, | For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
Na nois bilong biugel, na nek bilong ol toktok. Dispela nek ol husat i harim pinis i mekim strongpela askim long em i no ken tokim ol long dispela toktok moa liklik. | And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
(Long wanem, ol i no inap long stap strong yet long dispela samting em i tok strong, Na sapos wanpela animal tasol i tasim maunten, ol bai tromoi ston long kilim em, o sutim em i go namel olgeta wantaim liklik spia. | (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
Na dispela samting ol i lukim em i samting bilong pretim ol nogut tru olsem, inap long Moses i tok, Mi pret na guria planti moa yet.) | And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
Tasol yupela i kam long maunten Saion, na long biktaun bilong God i stap laip, Jerusalem bilong heven, na long wanpela lain bung bilong ol ensel man i no inap long kaunim, | But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Long bikpela bung bilong olgeta na sios bilong namba wan pikinini, dispela ol i raitim long heven, na long God, Jas bilong olgeta, na long ol spirit bilong ol stretpela man i kamap inap tru, | To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Na long Jisas dispela namelman bilong nupela kontrak, na long blut bilong tromoi isi isi, dispela i toktok long ol samting i gutpela moa long dispela bilong Ebel. | And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
Lukluk gut long yupela i no tok nogat long em husat i toktok. Long wanem, sapos ol i no abrusim bagarap husat i tok nogat long em husat i bin toktok long dispela graun, planti moa yet bai yumi i no inap abrusim bagarap, sapos yumi tanim na lusim em husat i toktok long heven, | See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Husat nek bilong em long dispela taim i bin seksekim dispela graun. Tasol nau em i bin promis, i spik, Yet wanpela taim moa mi no inap seksekim dispela graun tasol, tasol heven tu. | Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Na dispela tok, Yet wanpela taim moa, i mekim klia long em i rausim ol dispela samting em i seksekim, olsem ol i bilong ol dispela samting em i wokim, inap long ol dispela samting, dispela ol i no inap seksekim, i ken stap yet. | And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Olsem na bikos yumi kisim wanpela kingdom, dispela ol i no inap muvim, larim yumi i ken gat marimari, we long dispela rot yumi ken wokim wok bilong God long pasin em i orait long en wantaim pasin bilong givim biknem tru na pret i go long God. | Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Long wanem, God bilong yumi em i wanpela paia i kaikai samting olgeta. | For our God is a consuming fire.
