¶ Na em i kamap olsem, bihain long ol dispela samting, man i lukautim kap bilong king bilong Isip na man i wokim bret, tupela i bin kirapim bel bilong bikman bilong ol, em king bilong Isip. | And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.
Na Fero i belhat tru na birua long tupela ofisa bilong en, long nambawan hetman bilong ol man i lukautim kap na long nambawan hetman bilong ol man i wokim bret. | And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.
Na em i putim ol long kalabus long haus bilong kepten bilong ol wasman. Em i putim ol long kalabus, em dispela ples Josep i pas long en. | And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
Na kepten bilong ol wasman i givim tok long Josep long lukautim ol, na em i mekim wok long lukautim ol. Na ol i stap sampela taim long kalabus. | And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.
¶ Na ol i driman wanpela driman. Tupela wan wan man i driman driman bilong en long wanpela nait. Tupela wan wan i driman bilong bihainim as mining bilong driman bilong en. Dispela man i lukautim kap na dispela man i wokim bret bilong king bilong Isip na ol i pas long kalabus, ol i driman. | And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.
Na long moningtaim Josep i kam long ol, na i lukluk long ol. Na, lukim, ol i bel hevi. | And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
Na em i askim ol ofisa bilong Fero ol i stap wantaim em long kalabus bilong haus bilong bikman bilong en, na i spik, Bilong wanem tude pes bilong yutupela i bel hevi olsem? | And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?
Na ol i tokim em, Mipela i bin driman wanpela driman. Na i no gat man bilong telimautim as mining bilong en. Na Josep i tokim ol, Ating wok bilong telimautim ol as mining i no samting bilong God, a? Mi askim plis long yupela long tokim mi long ol. | And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
Na nambawan hetman bilong lukautim kap em i telimautim driman bilong en long Josep. Na em i tokim em, Long driman bilong mi, lukim, wanpela diwai wain i stap long pes bilong mi. | And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

Na ol han plaua bilong en i karim pikinini wain i mau. | And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes: |
Na kap bilong Fero i stap long han bilong mi. Na mi kisim ol pikinini wain na mi kisim wara bilong ol i go long kap bilong Fero. Na mi givim dispela kap long han bilong Fero. | And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.
Na Josep i tokim em, Dispela em i as mining bilong en. Dispela tripela han i tripela de. | And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:
Na insait long tripela de Fero bai litimapim het bilong yu na putim yu gen long ples bilong yu. Na bai yu givim kap bilong Fero long han bilong en, olsem yu bin mekim bipo, taim yu bin stap man i lukautim kap bilong em. | Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
Tasol yu mas tingting long mi, taim yu stap gut. Na mi askim plis long yu long yu soim gutpela pasin long mi. Na yu mas toksave long mi long Fero na bringim mi i go long lusim dispela haus. | But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
Long wanem, tru tumas, ol i bin stilim mi long hap graun bilong ol Hibru. Na tu mi no bin mekim samting long hia, bai ol i mas putim mi long dispela hul kalabus. | For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
Taim nambawan hetman bilong wokim bret i lukim dispela as mining i gutpela, em i tokim Josep, Mi tu mi stap long driman bilong mi. Na, lukim, mi gat tripela waitpela basket antap long het bilong mi. | When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
Na insait long basket i stap antap moa i gat olgeta kain bret kek samting i go long Fero. Na ol pisin i kisim ol long basket i stap antap long het bilong mi, na ol i kaikai. | And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
Na Josep i bekim tok, na i tok, Dispela em as mining bilong en. Dispela tripela basket i tripela de. | And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:
Na insait long tripela de Fero bai litimapim het bilong yu i lusim yu. Na bai em i hangamapim yu long wanpela diwai. Na ol pisin bai kaikai mit bilong bodi bilong yu. | Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
¶ Na em i kamap olsem, long namba tri de, em de mama bilong Fero i bin karim em, Fero i wokim wanpela bikpela kaikai bilong olgeta wokboi bilong en. Na namel long ol wokboi bilong en, em i litimapim het bilong nambawan hetman i lukautim kap na bilong nambawan hetman i wokim bret. | And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
Na dispela nambawan hetman i lukautim kap, em i putim em gen long wok bilong lukautim kap. Na em i givim kap long han bilong Fero. | And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:
Tasol em i hangamapim nambawan hetman i wokim bret, olsem Josep i bin autim as mining long ol. | But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
Tasol dispela nambawan man i lukautim kap, em i no holim tingting long Josep, tasol em i lusim tingting long em. | Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
