¶ Aisea, pikinini man bilong Amos i bin lukim dispela samting olsem driman i tokaut long Juda na Jerusalem long ol de bilong Usaia na Jotam na Ehas na Hesekaia, em ol king bilong Juda. | The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
¶ Harim, O ol heven na givim ia O dispela graun, long wanem BIKPELA i bin toktok olsem, Mi bin lukautim ol pikinini inap long ol i kamap bikpela na ol i bin sakim tok na birua long Mi. | Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
Bulmakau man i save long Papa bilong em na donki i save long ples bilong kisim kaikai bilong papa bilong em, tasol Isrel i no save na lain bilong Mi i no tingting gut na skelim. | The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
Em kantri i pulap long sin na lain manmeri i karim hevi long planti sin nogut. Ol i pikinini bilong lain i mekim ol samting nogut. Ol i stap ol pikinini i krungutim ol samting. Ol i bin givim baksait long BIKPELA. Ol i bin kirapim dispela Wanpela i Holi bilong Isrel long belhat. Ol i bin givim baksait na wokabaut i go. | Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
Bilong wanem yupela i laik kisim bagarap yet? Yupela i laik sakim tok moa na moa. Olgeta hap bilong het em i sik na olgeta hap bilong bel i hap i dai. | Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
I go long daunbilo tru bilong lek yes inap long het em i no gat wanpela hap i stap gut. Tasol i gat ol sua na ol hap i bagarap liklik na ol sua i kamap nogut tru. Ol i no bin pasim o putim marasin o putim banis long ol dispela sua. | From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.
Kantri bilong yupela i bagarap. Ol i bin kukim ol biktaun bilong yupela long paia. Ol ausait man i bagarapim graun bilong yupela long pes bilong yupela. Na graun bilong yupela i bagarap olsem ol ausait man i bin winim em. | Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
Na pikinini meri bilong Sion i stap yet olsem wanpela liklik haus i stap namel long ol diwai wain o olsem wanpela bus haus i stap namel gaden ol i bin planim kukamba long em. Em i stap olsem wanpela biktaun ol birua i pasim ol manmeri long ol i no ken go ausait o kam insait. | And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.
Sapos BIKPELA bilong bikpela ami i no bin larim liklik lain bilong yumi stap yet, yumi mas stap olsem Sodom na yumi mas stap wankain olsem Gomora. | Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
¶ Harim tok bilong BIKPELA, yupela hetman bilong Sodom. Harim gut lo bilong God bilong yumi, yupela manmeri bilong Gomora. | Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
BIKPELA i tok, Wanem em i as bilong ol dispela planti tru sakrifais yupela i mekim long Mi? Mi stap pulap long ol ofa bilong sipsip man na gris bilong ol patpela animal yupela bin kukim olgeta. Na Mi no amamas long blut bilong ol bulmakau man o bilong ol pikinini sipsip o bilong ol meme man. | To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
Taim yupela i kam bilong wokabaut long ples op insait long banis bilong Mi na sanap long pes bilong Mi, husat i bin toktok long yupela i mas mekim dispela? | When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
¶ Yu no ken bringim yet ol ofa i no gat gutpela as bilong em. Smok smel em i sting samting long nus bilong Mi. Ol nupela mun na ol sabat na ol singaut bilong bung na tu bung bilong ol de holi, Mi tok nogat, rausim ol. Ol i sin nogut. | Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Tewel bilong Mi i no laikim tru ol nupela mun bilong yupela na ol bikpela kaikai yupela i makim. Ol dispela i givim hevi long Mi. Mi stap les pinis long karim ol. | Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.
Na taim yupela i taitim ol han bilong yupela i go, bai Mi haitim ol ai bilong Mi long lukim yupela. Yes, taim yupela i mekim planti beten, bai Mi no harim. Ol han bilong yupela i pulap long blut. | And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
¶ Yupela i mas was was na mekim yupela i kamap klin. Yupela i mas rausim long ol ai bilong Mi ol dispela pasin nogut yupela i mekim. Yupela i mas lusim pasin i nogut. | Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
Kisim save long mekim gutpela pasin. Wok long painim stretpela kot. Helpim ol lain i kisim hevi. Givim stretpela kot long ol i no gat papa. Tokaut long strongpela askim bilong helpim ol meri, man bilong ol i bin dai pinis. | Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
BIKPELA i tok, Kam nau, larim yumi pasim tok long stretpela tingting. Maski ol sin bilong yupela i stap olsem skalet, bai ol i kamap waitpela olsem ais. Maski ol i stap retpela olsem kala krimson, ol bai stap olsem gras bilong sipsip. | Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Sapos yupela i stap redi na bihainim tok, orait bai yupela i kaikai ol gutpela samting bilong dispela hap graun. | If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Tasol sapos yupela i tok nogat na sakim tok, bai yupela i kisim bagarap long bainat. Long wanem, maus bilong BIKPELA i bin tokaut long dispela. | But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
¶ Tru tumas dispela biktaun ol i bin inap bilip long em, nau em i kamap pamuk meri! Pastaim em i pulap long stretpela kot na stretpela pasin em i stap long em. Tasol nau man bilong kilim man i dai em i stap long em. | How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
Silva bilong yu i bin kamap pipia nogut bilong silva. Sampela i bin abusim wain bilong yu wantaim wara. | Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:
Ol bikpela man bilong yu i stap man bilong sakim tok, na ol i poroman wantaim ol stilman. Olgeta wan wan i laikim tru ol presen na ol i save bihainim pasin bilong narapela i ken baim ol long mani samting. Ol i no givim stretpela kot long ol pikinini i no gat papa na tu hevi bilong ol meri man bilong ol i dai pinis em i no kam long ol. | Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.
Olsem na Bikpela, em BIKPELA bilong bikpela ami, na dispela strongpela Wanpela bilong Isrel i tok olsem, A, bai Mi lusim dispela lain i givim hevi long Mi na bekim pe nogut long ol birua bilong Mi. | Therefore saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
Na bai Mi tanim han bilong Mi long yu na long klinpela pasin bai Mi rausim ol pipia nogut bilong yu na tekewe olgeta tin bilong yu. | And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
Na bai Mi kirapim gen ol stretpela jas long yu olsem em i bin stap long stat. Na bai Mi kirapim gen lain bilong givim gutpela tok helpim long yu olsem em i bin stap pastaim tru. Bihain bai ol i kolim yu olsem, Dispela biktaun bilong stretpela pasin, na biktaun yu inap bilip long em. | And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
Wanpela bai baim bek Saion long stretpela kot, na baim bek lain bilong em i bin senisim bilip long stretpela pasin. | Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
Na bagarap bilong ol i bin kalapim lo na ol sinman bai stap wantaim. Na ol husat i bin givim baksait long BIKPELA bai bagarap olgeta. | And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.
Long wanem ol bai kisim sem long ol diwai ok, dispela samting yupela i bin amamas long em. Na bai yupela i sem nogut tru long ol gaden yupela i bin makim. | For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
Long wanem bai yupela i stap olsem wanpela diwai ok, lip bilong em i kamap drai, na olsem wanpela gaden i no gat wara. | For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
Na strongpela man bai i stap olsem pipia i no gat strong bilong statim paia na man i wok long mekim dispela bai i stap olsem liklik hap paia. Na tupela bai kuk wantaim na i no gat wanpela bai kilim i dai paia i kukim ol. | And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
