Na dispela em i toktok long pruvim em. Long wanem, em em yet i save long em bai mekim wanem. | And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

Wanpela bilong ol disaipel bilong em, Andru, brata bilong Saimon Pita, i tokim em, | One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
I gat wanpela manki long hia, husat i gat faipela hap bret bali, na tupela liklik pis. Tasol ol i wanem namel long planti olsem? | There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

Na wankain olsem long ol pis, hamas ol i gat laik long kisim. | And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. |
Taim ol i pulap pinis, em i tokim ol disaipel bilong em, Bungim ol dispela hap hap i stap yet, inap long i no gat wanpela samting i lus. | When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

Nau ol dispela man, taim ol i bin lukim dispela mirakel Jisas i mekim, i tok, Dispela em tru long em i dispela profet i mas kam long dispela graun. | Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.
¶ Olsem na taim Jisas i kisim save long ol i gat laik long kam na kisim em wantaim strong, long mekim em wanpela king, em i lusim ol gen i go long wanpela maunten em yet wanpela. | When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
Na taim apinun tru i kam nau, ol disaipel bilong em i go daun long biksi, | And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,
Na go insait long wanpela sip, na go hapsait long biksi i go long Kaperneam. Na nau em i tudak, na Jisas i no kam long ol. | And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.
Na biksi i kirap bikos wanpela bikpela win i ran. | And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.
Olsem na taim ol i bin pul klostu olsem 25 o 30 furlong, ol i lukim Jisas i wokabaut antap long biksi, na em i wok long kam klostu long sip. Na ol i pret. | So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
Tasol em i tokim ol, Em mi, no ken pret. | But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
Nau ol i amamas long kisim em i kam insait long sip. Na wantu sip i stap long hap graun we ol i go. | Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.

(Tasol i gat ol arapela bot i lusim Taibirias i kam klostu long ples we ol i bin kaikai bret, bihain long Bikpela i bin givim tok tenkyu,) | (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
Olsem na taim ol manmeri i luksave long Jisas i no stap long dispela hap, o ol disaipel bilong em, ol tu i kalap long sip, na kam long Kaperneam, na painim Jisas. | When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
Na taim ol i bin painim em pinis long hapsait bilong biksi, ol i tokim em, Rabai, wanem taim yu kam long hia? | And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?

No ken hatwok long dispela kaikai i save pinis olgeta, tasol long dispela kaikai i stap yet i go inap long laip i stap gut oltaim oltaim, dispela Pikinini Man bilong man bai givim long yupela. Long wanem, God Papa i bin putim mak long em pinis. | Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
¶ Nau ol i tokim em, Mipela bai mekim wanem, inap long mipela i ken wokim ol wok bilong God? | Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jisas i bekim na tokim ol, Dispela em i wok bilong God, long yupela i ken bilip long em husat em i bin salim. | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
Olsem na ol i tokim em, Wanem mak bai yu soim nau long mipela, inap long mipela i ken lukim, na bilipim yu? Yu wokim wanem wok? | They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
Ol tumbuna papa bilong yumi i bin kaikai mana long ples i no gat man, olsem rait i stap pinis, Em i givim ol bret i kam long heven long kaikai. | Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

Long wanem, bret bilong God em em husat i kam daun long heven, na givim laip long ol manmeri bilong dispela graun. | For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
Nau ol i tokim em, Bikpela, oltaim moa givim mipela dispela bret. | Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
Na Jisas i tokim ol, Mi stap bret bilong laip. Em husat i kam long mi bai i no inap hangre gen. Na em husat i putim bilip long mi bai i no inap nekdrai gen. | And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Tasol mi tokim yupela, Long yupela tu i bin lukim mi, na yupela i no bilip. | But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
Olgeta husat Papa i givim mi bai kam long mi. Na em husat i kam long mi bai mi no inap tru long rausim i go. | All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Long wanem, mi kam daun long heven, i no bilong wokim laik bilong mi yet, tasol laik bilong em husat i salim mi. | For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
Na dispela em i laik bilong Papa husat i bin salim mi, long olgeta husat em i bin givim mi, mi no ken larim wanpela i lus, tasol mi mas kirapim em gen long las de. | And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

Olsem wanem nau long em i tok, Mi kam daun long heven? | And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven? |
Olsem na Jisas i bekim na tokim ol, No ken tok baksait namel long yupela yet. | Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
I no gat man i ken kam long mi, sapos Papa husat i bin salim mi i no pulim em. Na mi bai kirapim em long las de. | No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Olsem na olgeta wan wan man husat i bin harim, na bin kisim skul long Papa, i kam long mi. | It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. |
I no olsem long wanpela man i bin lukim Papa, em husat i bilong God tasol, em i bin lukim Papa. | Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

Na dispela bret mi bai givim, em i bodi bilong mi, dispela mi bai givim bilong laip bilong dispela graun. | I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. |
Olsem na ol Ju i pait namel long ol yet, i spik, Dispela man i ken givim yumi bodi bilong em long kaikai olsem wanem? | The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?

Em i spirit husat i givim laip. Bodi i no helpim liklik. Ol dispela toktok mi tokim yupela, ol i spirit, na ol i laip. | It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Tasol i gat sampela bilong yupela husat i no bilip. Long wanem, Jisas i save long stat long ol i husat husat i no bilip, na husat bai putim em long han bilong birua. | But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
