¶ Sapos yu gat laik long kam bek, O Isrel, BIKPELA i tok, kam bek long Mi. Na sapos yu gat laik long rausim i go ol sting samting bilong yu ausait long hap ai bilong Mi lukim, orait bai yu no inap lusim. | If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the Lord, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.
Na yu bai wokim strongpela promis olsem, BIKPELA i stap laip, long pasin i tru, long kot, na long stretpela pasin. Na ol kantri bai blesim ol yet long Em, na insait long Em ol bai glori. | And thou shalt swear, The Lord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
¶ Long wanem, BIKPELA i tok olsem long ol man bilong Juda na Jerusalem, Brukim strongpela graun bilong yupela i stap nating longpela taim, na yu no ken planim namel long ol nil. | For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.
Katim skin bilong yupela yet i go long BIKPELA, na tekewe laplap bilong sem bilong bel bilong yupela, yupela ol man bilong Juda na ol man i stap long Jerusalem. Nogut belhat nogut tru bilong Mi i kam ausait olsem paia, na kuk inap long i no gat wanpela i ken kilim dispela i dai, bilong tingim nogut bilong ol wok bilong yupela. | Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
¶ Yupela tokaut long Juda, na mekim i kamap ples klia long Jerusalem. Na tok, Yupela winim biugel long dispela hap. Singaut, bung wantaim, na tok, Bungim yupela yet, na larim yumi go long ol biktaun i gat banis. | Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
Sanapim plak i lukluk i go long Saion. Surik bek, no ken stap yet. Long wanem, Mi bai bringim samting nogut i kam long hap not, na wanpela bikpela bagarap olgeta. | Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
Dispela laion i lusim ples bus i pas klostu klostu bilong em na kam antap, na man bilong bagarapim olgeta ol man i no Ju i wok long kam. Em i kam ausait long ples bilong em bilong mekim hap bilong yupela long stap nating. Na ol biktaun bilong yu bai stap pipia, na i no gat wanpela man i stap. | The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.
Bilong dispela, pasim klos bilong yu wantaim bek laplap, krai sori na singaut sori. Long wanem, strongpela belhat bilong BIKPELA i no tanim na lusim yumi. | For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned back from us.
Na em bai kamap olsem long dispela de, BIKPELA i tok, long bel bilong king bai dai olgeta, na bel bilong ol hetman. Na ol pris bai kirap nogut, na ol profet bai tingting planti. | And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the Lord, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
Nau mi tok, Ah, GOD Bikpela! Tru tumas, Yu bin giamanim bikpela ol dispela manmeri na Jerusalem, i spik, Yupela bai gat bel isi, we bainat i kam inap long tewel long en. | Then said I, Ah, Lord God! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.
Long dispela taim bai ol i tokim ol dispela lain manmeri na long Jerusalem, Wanpela win i drai bilong ol ples antap long ples i no gat man i go long pikinini meri bilong ol manmeri bilong Mi, i no bilong wokim win, o bilong klinim, | At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,
Yes, wanpela win i pulap i kam long ol dispela ples bai kam long Mi. Nau tu bai Mi givim mekim save i birua long ol. | Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.
Lukim, em bai kam antap olsem ol klaut, na ol karis bilong em bai stap olsem wanpela raunwin. Ol hos bilong em i ran hariap moa long ol igal. Tok lukaut i kam long mipela! Long wanem, ol i kisim kago bilong pait bilong mipela pinis. | Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
O Jerusalem, wasim bel bilong yu i lusim pasin nogut, inap long God i ken kisim bek yu. Inap long wanem taim bai ol tingting nating bilong yu i stap insait long yu? | O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
Long wanem, wanpela nek i kam long Dan i tokaut, na mekim i kamap ples klia hevi i kam long maunten Ifraim. | For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim.
Yupela kolim nem liklik i go long ol kantri. Lukim, mekim i kamap ples klia i birua long Jerusalem, long ol wasman i kam long wanpela longwe kantri, na givim nek bilong ol i birua long ol biktaun bilong Juda. | Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
Olsem ol wasman bilong wanpela bikpela gaden, ol i birua long em raun nabaut. Bilong wanem, em i bin bikhet i birua long Mi, BIKPELA i tok. | As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the Lord.
Rot bilong yu na ol wok bilong yu i bin kisim ol dispela samting i kam long yu. Dispela em i pasin nogut bilong yu, bilong wanem, em i pait tru, bilong wanem, em i go inap long bel bilong yu. | Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.
¶ Ol rop bilong bel bilong Mi, ol rop bilong bel bilong Mi! Mi gat pen long bel bilong Mi stret. Bel bilong Mi i wokim wanpela nois insait long Mi. Mi no inap pasim maus bilong Mi, bilong wanem, yu bin harim, O tewel bilong Mi, nois bilong biugel, tandok bilong bikpela pait. | My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
Bagarap olgeta antap long bagarap olgeta, ol i singaut. Long wanem, ol i kisim kago bilong pait bilong dispela hap graun olgeta. Wantu ol i kisim kago bilong pait bilong ol haus sel bilong Mi, na ol banis laplap bilong Mi wantu. | Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.
Inap long wanem taim bai Mi lukim plak, na harim nois bilong biugel? | How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?
Long wanem, ol manmeri bilong Mi i kranki, ol i no bin save long Mi. Ol i stap ol pikinini i no gat save liklik, na ol i no gat gutpela save. Ol i gat save tru long wokim pasin nogut, tasol long mekim gutpela pasin, ol i no gat save. | For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
Mi lukim pinis dispela graun, na, harim, em i no gat strong, na i stap nating olgeta. Na Mi lukim ol heven, na ol i no gat lait. | I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
Mi lukim ol maunten, na, harim, ol i guria, na olgeta liklik maunten i muv liklik. | I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
Mi lukim, na, harim, i no gat man, na olgeta pisin bilong ol heven i ranawe. | I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
Mi lukim, na, harim, ol ples bilong karim planti kaikai i stap wanpela ples i no gat man, na olgeta biktaun bilong en i bruk olgeta long pes bilong BIKPELA, na long strongpela belhat bilong Em. | I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.
Long wanem, BIKPELA i bin tok olsem, Dispela hap olgeta bai stap nating. Yet bai Mi no inap mekim wanpela pinis olgeta. | For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
Bilong dispela bai dispela graun i soim sori, na ol heven antap i stap blakpela Bilong wanem, Mi bin toktok long en, na Mi bin wokim toktok long en, na bai Mi no inap tanim bel, na tu bai Mi no inap tanim na lusim dispela. | For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.
Dispela biktaun olgeta bai ranawe long nois bilong ol man i ran long hos na ol man bilong sutim banara. Ol bai go insait long ol ples bus i pas klostu klostu, na kalap i go antap long ol ston. Ol man bai givim baksait long olgeta wan wan biktaun, na bai i no gat wanpela man bilong stap insait long ol. | The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein.
Na taim ol i kisim kago bilong pait bilong yu, yu bai mekim wanem? Maski yu putim klos long yu yet wantaim klos i krimson, maski yu bilasim yu yet wantaim ol bilas bilong gol, maski yu brukim pes bilong yu wantaim ol pasin bilong penim, yu bai mekim yu yet naispela nating. Ol man yu laikim tru bai tingim yu olsem yu samting nating, na ol bai painim laip bilong yu. | And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.
Long wanem, Mi bin harim wanpela nek olsem nek bilong wanpela meri i hatwok long karim pikinini, na taim hevi i krungutim em i olsem meri husat i karim namba wan pikinini bilong em, nek bilong pikinini meri bilong Saion, husat i krai wantaim singaut long em yet, husat i opim tupela han bilong em longwe, i spik, Tok lukaut i kam long mi nau! Long wanem, tewel bilong mi i les tru bilong tingim ol man bilong kilim man i dai. | For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.
