Long wanem, em i salim tok long mi bilong kisim ol meri bilong mi, na ol pikinini bilong mi, na bilong kisim silva bilong mi, na bilong kisim gol bilong mi. Na mi no tok nogat long em. | Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not. |
| 8 | Na olgeta lapun hetman na olgeta manmeri i tokim em, No ken harim long em, o tok yes long em. | And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Hearken not unto him, nor consent. |

Na ol mausman i go, na bringim em tok gen. | Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Ben–hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again. |
| 10 | Na Ben-hedat i salim long em, na tok, Ol god i ken mekim olsem long mi, na moa tu, sapos das bilong Samaria bai inap long pulimapim ol han bilong olgeta manmeri husat i bihainim mi. | And Ben–hadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me. |
| 11 | Na king bilong Isrel i bekim na tok, Tokim em, No ken larim man husat i pasim nabaut klos pait bilong em i litimapim nating em yet olsem man husat i rausim dispela. | And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast himself as he that putteth it off. |

And they set themselves in array against the city. |

| 14 | Na Ehap i tok, Long husat? Na em i tok, BIKPELA i tok olsem, Yes, long ol yangpela man bilong ol hetman bilong ol provins. Nau em i tok, Husat bai bosim dispela pait? Na em i bekim tok, Yu. | And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Even by the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he answered, Thou. |
| 15 | Nau em i kaunim ol yangpela man bilong ol hetman bilong ol provins, na ol i 232. Na bihain long ol em i kaunim olgeta manmeri, yes, olgeta pikinini bilong Isrel, na ol i stap 7,000. | Then he numbered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty two: and after them he numbered all the people, even all the children of Israel, being seven thousand. |
| 16 | Na ol i go ausait long belo stret. Tasol Ben-hedat i wok long dringim em yet i kamap spak insait long ol haus sel, em na ol king, dispela 32 king husat i helpim em. | And they went out at noon. But Ben–hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him. |

Na Ben-hedat i salim ol man ausait, na ol i tokim em, i spik, I gat ol man i kam ausait long Samaria. | And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Ben–hadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out of Samaria. |
| 18 | Na em i tok, Sapos ol i kam ausait bilong bel isi, kisim ol taim ol i stap laip. O sapos ol i kam ausait bilong bikpela pait, kisim ol taim ol i stap laip. | And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive. |
| 19 | Olsem na ol dispela yangpela man bilong ol hetman bilong ol provins i kam ausait long biktaun, na dispela ami i bihainim ol. | So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them. |

| 24 | Na mekim dispela samting, Tekewe ol king, olgeta wan wan man i lusim ples bilong em, na putim ol kepten long ol ples bilong ol. | And do this thing, Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their rooms: |

Na mipela bai pait birua long ol long ples stret, na tru tumas, mipela bai stap strong moa long ol. Na em i harim long nek bilong ol, na mekim olsem. | And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so. |
| 26 | Na em i kamap olsem long taim yia i kam bek gen, long Ben-hedat i kaunim ol lain Siria, na go antap long Afek, bilong pait birua long Isrel. | And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Ben–hadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel. |

Tasol ol lain Siria i pulimapim dispela hap. | And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel pitched before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country. |

And Ben–hadad fled, and came into the city, into an inner chamber. |
| 31 | ¶ Na ol wokboi bilong em i tokim em, Lukim nau, mipela i bin harim long ol king bilong hauslain bilong Isrel em ol king bilong marimari. Na em i tok, Em i stap laip yet? And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother. |

Then he said, Go ye, bring him. Then Ben–hadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot. |

Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away. |

And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him. |
| 37 | Nau em i lukim narapela man, na tok, Paitim mi, mi askim yu plis. Na dispela man i paitim em, inap long taim em i paitim em, em i bagarapim em. | Then he found another man, and said, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man smote him, so that in smiting he wounded him. |
