| 1 | ¶ Yu tu, pikinini man bilong man, yu kisim wanpela tail, na slipim dispela long ai bilong yu, na penim antap long en dispela biktaun, yes, Jerusalem. | Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem: |
| 2 | Na wokim wok bilong pasim biktaun i birua long en, na wokim wanpela haus soldia i birua long en, na hipim wanpela liklik maunten i birua long en. Sanapim kem tu i birua long en, na putim ol traipela diwai bilong brukim banis i birua long en raun nabaut. | And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about. |

Na strongim pes bilong yu i birua long en, na biktaun bai stap pas, na yu bai wokim wok bilong pasim biktaun i birua long en. Dispela bai stap wanpela mak long hauslain bilong Isrel. | Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel. |

Bilong bihainim namba bilong ol de long yu bai slip long en yu bai karim sin nogut bilong ol. | Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. |

Olsem tasol yu bai karim sin nogut bilong hauslain bilong Isrel. | For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. |

Mi bin makim long yu wanpela de bilong olgeta wan wan yia. | And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. |

| 8 | Na, lukim, Mi bai putim ol hankap samting antap long yu, na yu bai i no inap tanim yu long wanpela sait i go long narapela, inap long yu bin pinisim ol de bilong yu bilong pasim biktaun. | And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege. |
| 9 | ¶ Yu kisim tu i go long yu wit, na bali, na ol bin, na ol lentil, na milit, na ol fits, na putim ol long wanpela sospen samting, na wokim bret bilong yu long en, bilong bihainim namba bilong ol de long yu bai slip long sait bilong yu, 390 de yu bai kaikai long en. | Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof. |

| 11 | Yu bai dring wara tu long skel bilong en, namba sikis hap bilong wanpela hin. Long wan wan taim bai yu dring. | Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink. |
| 12 | Na yu bai kaikai dispela olsem ol kek bali, na yu bai kukim dispela wantaim pekpek, dispela i kam ausait long man, long hap ai bilong ol i lukim. | And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. |
| 13 | Na BIKPELA i tok, Yes, olsem tasol bai ol pikinini bilong Isrel i kaikai ol bret bilong ol i doti namel long ol man i no Ju, we Mi bai ranim ol i go. | And the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them. |

Na tu ol abus i sting tru i no kam insait long maus bilong mi. | Then said I, Ah Lord God! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth. |

Na ol bai dringim wara long skel bilong en, na wantaim pasin bilong kirap nogut, | Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment: |
| 17 | Inap long ol i ken sot long bret na wara, na paul olsem ston wanpela wantaim narapela, na dai isi isi i go long ol sin nogut bilong ol. | That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity. |
