|---|---|---|
¶ Olsem na yupela i mas stap ol man bilong bihainim God, olsem ol pikinini i dia. | Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Na wokabaut insait long pasin bilong laikim tru, olsem Kraist tu i bin laikim tru yumi, na em i bin givim em yet long helpim yumi, wanpela ofa na sakrifais i go long God bilong wanpela smel i gat switpela test. | And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
¶ Tasol pasin pamuk, na olgeta pasin i no klin, o pasin mangal, no ken larim ol i kolim dispela wanpela taim namel long yupela, olsem em i gutpela long ol seint, | But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Na tu ol pasin doti tru, o ol kranki toktok, o pasin bilong wokim pani, dispela i no fit long ol seint. Tasol mobeta, givim tok tenkyu. | Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Long wanem, yupela i save long dispela, long i no gat pamuk man, o man i no klin, o man bilong mangal, husat i man bilong lotuim piksa bilong god giaman, husat i gat wanpela samting papa i givim pikinini insait long kingdom bilong Kraist na God. | For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
No ken larim wanpela man giamanim yupela wantaim ol toktok nating. Long wanem, bilong tingim ol dispela samting belhat tru bilong God i kam antap long ol pikinini bilong sakim tok. | Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Olsem na yupela i no ken stap ol man bilong kisim hap wantaim ol. | Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
Long wanem, sampela taim bipo yupela i stap long tudak, tasol nau yupela i stap lait insait long Bikpela. Wokabaut olsem ol pikinini bilong lait, | For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
(Long wanem, kaikai bilong Spirit i stap insait long olgeta gutpela pasin na stretpela pasin na tok tru,) | (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Taim yupela i pruvim wanem samting i orait long ai bilong Bikpela. | Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Na no ken gat poroman pasin wantaim ol wok bilong tudak i no karim gutpela kaikai, tasol mobeta yumi krosim ol. | And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Long wanem, em i samting bilong sem, yes, long toktok long sait bilong ol dispela samting, dispela ol i mekim hait. | For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Tasol olgeta dispela samting yumi krosim i kamap ples klia long lait. Long wanem, wanem samting i mekim samting kamap ples klia em i lait. | But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Olsem na em i tok, Kirap, yu husat i slip, na kirap long dai, na Kraist bai givim yu lait. | Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Lukluk gut nau long yupela i wokabaut wantaim ai i op, i no olsem ol krankiman, tasol olsem saveman, | See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Taim yupela i baim bek taim, bilong wanem, ol de i nogut. | Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Olsem na yupela i no ken stap man i no gat save tru, tasol yupela i mas gat save long laik bilong Bikpela em i wanem. | Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Na no ken spak wantaim wain, we long en em i tumas, tasol stap pulap wantaim Spirit, | And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Taim yupela i toktok long yupela yet long ol sam na ol song bilong lotu na ol song long sait bilong spirit, taim yupela i singim song na wokim musik insait long bel bilong yupela i go long Bikpela. | Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Taim yupela i givim tok tenkyu olgeta taim long olgeta samting i go long God na Papa long nem bilong Bikpela bilong yumi Jisas Kraist, | Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
¶ Taim yupela i putim yupela yet wanpela i aninit long narapela insait long pret long God. | Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Ol maritmeri, putim yupela yet aninit long ol man bilong yupela yet, olsem yupela i mekim i go long Bikpela. | Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Long wanem, maritman em i het bilong maritmeri, yes, olsem Kraist em i het bilong sios. Na em i man bilong kisim bek bodi. | For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Olsem na olsem sios i aninit long Kraist, olsem tasol larim ol maritmeri stap aninit long ol man bilong ol yet long olgeta wan wan samting. | Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Ol maritman, laikim tru ol meri bilong yupela, yes, olsem Kraist tu i laikim tru sios, na givim em yet bilong en, | Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Inap long em i ken mekim sios kamap holi na klinim dispela wantaim waswas bilong wara long wok bilong tok bilong God, | That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Inap long em i ken bringim dispela long em yet wanpela sios i gat glori, taim em i no gat mak, o hap i no stretpela tru, o wanpela kain samting, tasol long dispela i ken stap holi na i no gat mak nogut. | That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Olsem tasol ol man i mas laikim tru ol meri bilong ol olsem ol bodi bilong ol yet. em husat i laikim tru meri bilong em i laikim tru em yet. | So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Long wanem, i no gat yet wanpela man i bin hetim bodi bilong em yet. Tasol em i givim kaikai na laikim tru dispela, yes, olsem Bikpela i laikim tru sios. | For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Long wanem, yumi stap ol hap bilong bodi bilong em, bilong mit bilong em, na bilong ol bun bilong em. | For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Long dispela as man bai lusim papa na mama bilong em, na em bai pas wantaim meri bilong em, na tupela bai stap wanpela bodi. | For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Dispela em i wanpela bikpela samting hait. Tasol mi toktok long sait bilong Kraist na sios. | This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Tasol larim olgeta wan wan bilong yupela stret i ken laikim tru meri bilong em olsem, yes, olsem em yet. Na maritmeri i mas lukluk gut long em i givim biknem tru long man bilong em. | Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
