Na prea bilong mi i bin i kam bek long bros bilong mi yet. | But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. |

| 17 | ¶ Bikpela, hamas taim bai Yu lukluk tasol? Yu mas tekewe tewel bilong mi long ol bagarap bilong ol, na tekewe laik bilong mi long ol laion. | Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. |
| 18 | Mi bai givim tok tenkyu long Yu namel long bikpela bung bilong ol manmeri. Bai mi litimapim Yu namel long planti manmeri. | I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. |

Na tu Yu no ken larim ol i brukim ai, em ol man i no laikim tru mi na I no gat as bilong dispela. | Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. |

| 22 | O BIKPELA, Yu bin lukim dispela. Yu no ken pasim maus. O BIKPELA, Yu no ken i stap longwe long mi. | This thou hast seen, O Lord: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. |
| 23 | God bilong mi na Bikpela bilong mi Yu mas kirapim Yu yet, na kirap long slip i dai long skelim pe bilong kot bilong mi. Yes, long wanem samting mi laik i kamap. | Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. |
| 24 | O God BIKPELA bilong mi, Yu mas skelim mi bilong bihainim stretpela pasin bilong Yu. Na Yu no ken larim ol i wokim amamas tru antap long mi. | Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. |
| 25 | Ol i no ken tok long ol bel bilong ol olsem, A, mipela i laik long dispela i ken i stap olsem. Ol i no ken tok olsem, Mipela i bin daunim em. | Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. |

Ol man i litimapim ol yet bilong birua long mi, ol i ken pasim olsem klos sem na pasin i no gat ona. | Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. |

Yes, oltaim larim ol i tok, BIKPELA i ken kisim biknem, Em Man i gat amamas long wokboi bilong En i ken i stap gut. | Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. |
