Olsem na nau yu harim nek bilong ol toktok bilong BIKPELA. | Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord. |

Tasol kilim i dai man na meri, liklik pikinini na susu pikinini, bulmakau man na sipsip, kemel na donki wantaim. | Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. |

Olsem na ol lain Ken i lusim ol lain Amalek. | And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. |

Tasol olgeta wan wan samting i nogut tru na i pipia, dispela ol i bagarapim olgeta. | But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. |

Na em i krai long BIKPELA olgeta hap bilong nait. | It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the Lord all night. |
| 12 | Na taim Samyuel i kirap long moning tru long bungim Sol, ol i tokim Samyuel, i spik, Sol i kam long Karmel, na, lukim, em i sanapim wanpela ples bilong em, na em i go nabaut, na go hapsait, na go daun long Gilgal. | And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a place, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal. |

Long wanem, ol lain i holim bek ol nambawan bilong ol sipsip na bilong ol bulmakau man, long sakrifais i go long BIKPELA, God bilong yu. Na olgeta arapela mipela bin bagarapim olgeta. | And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed. |

| 18 | Na BIKPELA i salim yu long wanpela wokabaut, na tok, Go na bagarapim olgeta ol dispela sinman, dispela ol lain Amalek, na pait birua long ol inap long yu kaikai ol olgeta. | And the Lord sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed. |

| 20 | Na Sol i tokim Samyuel, Yes, mi bin bihainim nek bilong BIKPELA, na mi bin go long dispela rot BIKPELA i salim mi long en, na mi bin bringim Egak king bilong Amalek, na mi bin bagarapim olgeta ol lain Amalek. | And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. |
| 21 | Tasol ol manmeri i kisim ol kago bilong pait, ol sipsip na ol bulmakau man, nambawan bilong ol samting mipela i sapos long bagarapim olgeta, long sakrifais i go long BIKPELA, God bilong yu, long Gilgal. | But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal. |
| 22 | Na Samyuel i tok, Ating BIKPELA i gat bikpela amamas moa long ol ofa i kuk olgeta na ol sakrifais, long Em i amamas long man i bihainim nek bilong BIKPELA? Lukim, pasin bilong bihainim tok i winim sakrifais, na pasin bilong harim tok i winim gris bilong ol sipsip man. | And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. |

Bikos yu bin tok nogat olgeta long tok bilong BIKPELA, Em i bin tok nogat olgeta long yu tu long yu i ken stap king. | For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. |
| 24 | ¶ Na Sol i tokim Samyuel, Mi bin mekim sin. Long wanem, mi bin kalapim lo bilong tok strong bilong BIKPELA, na ol toktok bilong yu. Bilong wanem, mi pretim ol manmeri, na mi bihainim nek bilong ol. | And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. |
| 25 | Olsem na nau, mi askim yu plis, lusim pe bilong sin bilong mi, na tanim gen wantaim mi, inap long mi ken lotuim BIKPELA. | Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord. |

Long wanem, yu bin tok nogat olgeta long tok bilong BIKPELA, na BIKPELA i bin tok nogat olgeta long yu long yu i ken stap king long bosim Isrel. | And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel. |

| 28 | Na Samyuel i tokim em, BIKPELA i bin brukim kingdom bilong Isrel i lusim yu tude, na Em i bin givim dispela long wanpela man i stap klostu long yu, husat i winim yu. | And Samuel said unto him, The Lord hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. |
| 29 | Na tu Strong bilong Isrel bai i no inap giaman o tanim bel. Long wanem, em i no man, inap long Em i mas tanim bel. | And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. |

Tasol givim biknem long mi nau, mi askim yu plis, long ai bilong ol lapun hetman bilong ol lain manmeri bilong mi, na long ai bilong Isrel, na tanim gen wantaim mi, inap long mi ken lotuim BIKPELA, God bilong yu. | Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord thy God. |
| 31 | Olsem na Samyuel i tanim gen i bihainim Sol. Na Sol i lotuim BIKPELA. | So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the Lord. |
| 32 | ¶ Nau Samyuel i tok, Yupela bringim hia long mi Egak, king bilong ol lain Amalek. Na Egak i kam long em isi isi. Na Egak i tok, Tru tumas, ating holim kros bilong i dai i go pinis, a? | Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past. |

Na Samyuel i katkatim Egak long ol liklik hap hap long ai bilong BIKPELA long Gilgal. | And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal. |
| 34 | Nau Samyuel i go long Rama. Na Sol i go antap long haus bilong em long Gibia bilong Sol. | Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul. |

Na BIKPELA i tanim bel long Em i bin mekim Sol king long bosim Isrel. | And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the Lord repented that he had made Saul king over Israel. |
