¶ Na Pol, taim em i lukluk strong long dispela kaunsil, i tok, Ol man na ol brata, mi bin stap laip wantaim olgeta gutpela mausbel long ai bilong God inap long tude. | And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.
Na hetpris Ananaias i tok strong long ol husat i sanap klostu long em long paitim em long maus. | And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.
Nau Pol i tokim em, God bai paitim yu, yu banis ol i penim waitpela. Long wanem, yu sindaun bilong jasim mi i bihainim lo, na tok strong long ol long paitim mi i birua long lo? | Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
Na ol husat i sanap klostu i tok, Yu sutim tok nogut i go long hetpris bilong God? | And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest?
Nau Pol i tok, Mi no save, ol brata, long em i hetpris. Long wanem, rait i stap pinis, Yu no ken toktok nogut long hetman bilong ol manmeri bilong yu. | Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
¶ Tasol taim Pol i kisim save long wanpela hap em ol Sadyusi, na arapela em ol Farisi, em i singaut insait long kaunsil, Ol man na ol brata, mi stap wanpela Farisi, pikinini man bilong wanpela Farisi. Long hop na kirap bek long dai yupela i kotim mi. | But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
Na taim em i bin tok olsem, i gat wanpela kros pait i kirap namel long ol Farisi na ol Sadyusi. Na dispela bikpela lain tru i bruk pinis. | And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided.
Long wanem, ol Sadyusi i tok long i no gat kirap bek, o ensel, o spirit. Tasol ol Farisi i tok yes long ol wantaim. | For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.
Na i gat wanpela bikpela singaut i kirap. Na ol man bilong rait husat i bilong hap bilong ol Farisi i kirap, na pait, i spik, Mipela i no painim pasin nogut insait long dispela man. Tasol sapos wanpela spirit o ensel i bin toktok long em, yumi no ken pait birua long God. | And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees’ part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
Na taim i gat bikpela kros pait i kirap, nambawan kepten, taim em i pret nogut ol i ken pulim Pol i bruk long planti hap hap, i tok strong long ol soldia long go daun, na yusim strong long kisim em long hap i namel long ol, na long bringim em insait long strongpela haus soldia. | And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
Na long nait bihain Bikpela i sanap klostu long em, na tok, Stap wantaim gutpela amamas, Pol. Long wanem, olsem yu bin tokaut klia long mi long Jerusalem, olsem tasol yu mas stap witnes tu long Rom. | And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
¶ Na taim em i san, sampela bilong ol Ju i bin bung wantaim, na pasim ol yet aninit wanpela tok nogut, taim ol i toktok long ol i no inap kaikai o dring inap long ol i bin kilim Pol. | And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.
Na ol i moa long 40 husat i bin mekim dispela tok hait. | And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.

Na mipela, bipo em i kam klostu, i stap redi long kilim em. | Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him. |
Na taim pikinini man bilong susa bilong Pol i harim stori long ol i wet hait, em i go na go insait long strongpela haus soldia, na tokim Pol. | And when Paul’s sister’s son heard of their lying in wait, he went and entered into the castle, and told Paul.
Nau Pol i singautim wanpela bilong ol kepten bilong 100 soldia i kam long em, na tok, Bringim dispela yangpela man i go long nambawan kepten. Long wanem, em i gat wanpela samting long tokim em. | Then Paul called one of the centurions unto him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.

Nau nambawan kepten i kisim em long han, na go wantaim em long sait ol yet, na askim em, Yu gat laik long tokim mi long wanem samting? | Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went with him aside privately, and asked him, What is that thou hast to tell me?
Na em i tok, Ol Ju i gat wanbel tingting long askim yu long yu ken bringim Pol daun tumora long kaunsil, olsem ol i gat laik long askim samting i inap tru moa long em. | And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.
Tasol yu no ken givim ol laik bilong ol. Long wanem, i gat i wet hait long bagarapim em moa long 40 man, husat i bin pasim ol yet wantaim wanpela strongpela promis, long ol bai i no inap kaikai o dring inap long taim ol i bin kilim em. Na nau ol i redi, na ol i lukluk long wanpela promis i kam long yu. | But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.
Olsem tasol nau nambawan kepten i larim dispela yangpela man go, na givim tok long em, Lukaut gut long yu no tokim wanpela man long yu bin soim ol dispela samting long mi. | So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.

Na givim ol animal long ol, inap long ol i ken putim Pol antap, na bringim em i orait i go long nambawan gavman Filiks. | And provide them beasts, that they may set Paul on, and bring him safe unto Felix the governor.

Klaudias Lisias i salim gude i go long nambawan gavman i gutpela olgeta moa Filiks. | Claudius Lysias unto the most excellent governor Felix sendeth greeting.
Ol Ju i kisim dispela man, na ol i gat laik long kilim em. Nau mi kam wantaim ami, na kisim bek em, taim mi save long em i wanpela man Rom. | This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an army, and rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.

Gutbai. | And when it was told me how that the Jews laid wait for the man, I sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him. Farewell. |
Nau ol soldia, olsem em i tok strong long ol, i kisim Pol, na bringim em long nait long Antipatris. | Then the soldiers, as it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to Antipatris.
Long de bihain ol i lusim ol man i ran long hos long go wantaim em, na ol i kam bek long strongpela haus soldia. | On the morrow they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the castle:
