| 12 | ¶ Olsem na, ol man i stap klostu tru long bel bilong mi, olsem yupela i bin bihainim tok olgeta taim, i no olsem long taim mi stap tasol, tasol hamas moa nau taim mi no stap, wokim pasin bilong kisim bek bilong yupela yet i ken kam ausait wantaim pret na guria. | Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. |

| 16 | Taim yupela i holim klia dispela tok bilong laip, inap long mi ken wokim amamas tru long de bilong Kraist, long mi no bin ran nating, na tu mi no hatwok nating. | Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. |
| 17 | Yes, na sapos mi ofaim mi yet antap long dispela sakrifais na wok bilong bilip tru bilong yupela, mi amamas tru, na wokim amamas tru wantaim yupela olgeta. | Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. |

| 19 | Tasol mi putim bilip long Bikpela Jisas long salim Timotias long yupela klostu nau, inap long mi tu i ken stap wantaim gutpela bel isi, taim mi save long sindaun bilong yupela. | But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. |

| 25 | Tasol mi ting olsem i gat nid long mi salim Epafrodaitas long yupela, brata bilong mi, na poroman bilong mi long hatwok, na wan soldia wantaim mi, tasol mausman bilong yupela, na em husat i wokim wok long ol nid bilong mi. | Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. |
