| 12 | ¶ Tasol mi gat laik long yupela i ken kisim save, ol brata, long ol dispela samting i kamap long mi i bin pundaun olsem bikos em i mobeta bilong mekim gutnius long go moa, | But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; |
| 13 | Inap long ol kalabus bilong mi insait long Kraist i kamap ples klia insait long olgeta hap bilong haus king, na long olgeta arapela ples. | So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; |
| 14 | Na planti bilong ol brata insait long Bikpela, taim ol i wok long kamap strong long bilip long wok bilong ol kalabus bilong mi, i stap ol man i no pret moa planti long toktok long dispela tok taim ol i no gat pret. | And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. |

| 18 | Orait wanem samting? Tasol, long olgeta wan wan rot, sapos i wantaim bel i no trupela, o long tok tru, ol i autim Kraist, na insait long dispela mi wokim amamas tru, yes, na mi bai wokim amamas tru. | What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. |

| 23 | Long wanem, mi stap long wanpela hatpela ples namel long tupela, taim mi gat laik long go, na long stap wantaim Kraist, dispela i gutpela moa tru, | For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: |
| 24 | Tasol long stap long dispela bodi em i gutpela moa bilong helpim yupela. | Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. |
| 25 | Na taim mi gat dispela strongpela bilip, mi save long mi bai stap na stap yet wantaim yupela olgeta bilong helpim yupela go moa na amamas tru long bilip tru, | And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; |

| 27 | ¶ Tasol larim pasin bilong yupela stap olsem em i gutpela long gutnius bilong Kraist, long sapos mi kam na lukim yupela, o sapos nogat na mi no stap wantaim yupela, mi ken harim long ol samting bilong yupela, long yupela i sanap strong long wanpela spirit, wantaim wanpela tingting taim yupela i pait strong wantaim bilong strongim bilip tru bilong gutnius, | Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; |
