Na ol dispela em ol nem bilong ol pikinini meri bilong em, Mala, Noa, na Hokla, na Milka, na Tirsa. | Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. |

Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. |

Na yu bai mekim samting papa i givim pikinini bilong papa bilong ol i go long ol. | The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them. |

| 11 | Na sapos papa bilong em i no gat ol brata, orait yupela bai givim samting papa i givim pikinini bilong em i go long kandre bilong em husat i klostu stret long em bilong famili bilong em, na em bai holimpas dispela. Na em bai stap bilong ol pikinini bilong Isrel wanpela lo ol i raitim bilong kot, olsem BIKPELA i tok strong long Moses. | And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses. |

| 14 | Long wanem, yutupela i bikhet i birua long tok strong bilong Mi long ples i no gat man Sin, long strongpela pait bilong bung bilong ol manmeri, long mekim Mi kamap holi long dispela wara long ai bilong ol ai bilong ol. Dispela em i wara bilong Meriba, long Kedes, long ples i no gat man bilong Sin. | For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. |
| 15 | ¶ Na Moses i tokim BIKPELA, i spik, | And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying, |

| 17 | Husat i ken go ausait paslain long ol, na husat i ken kam insait paslain long ol, na husat i ken stiaim ol ausait, na husat i ken bringim ol insait, inap long bung bilong ol manmeri bilong BIKPELA i no ken stap olsem ol sipsip husat i no gat wasman bilong sipsip. | Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd. |
| 18 | Na BIKPELA i tokim Moses, Yu kisim Josua, pikinini man bilong Nun, wanpela man insait long husat dispela spirit i stap, na slipim han bilong yu antap long em. | And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; |
| 19 | Na putim em long ai bilong pris Eleasar, na long ai bilong olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri. Na givim em wanpela wok long ai bilong ol. | And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. |
| 20 | Na yu bai putim sampela ona bilong yu antap long em, inap long olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri bilong ol pikinini bilong Isrel i ken bihainim tok. | And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. |
| 21 | Na em bai sanap long ai bilong pris Eleasar, husat bai askim tok helpim bilong helpim em i bihainim kot bilong Yurim long ai bilong BIKPELA. Long tok bilong em ol bai go ausait, na long tok bilong em ol bai kam insait, em, na olgeta pikinini bilong Isrel wantaim em wantaim, yes, olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri. | And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. |

Na em i kisim Joshua, na putim em long ai bilong pris Eleasar, na long ai bilong olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri. | And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: |
| 23 | Na em i slipim tupela han bilong em antap long em, na givim em wanpela wok, olsem BIKPELA i tok strong long han bilong Moses. | And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses. |
