Bilong olgeta wan wan lain bilong ol tumbuna papa bilong ol bai yupela i salim wanpela man, olgeta wan wan wanpela hetman namel long ol. Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
3 Na Moses, long tok strong bilong BIKPELA, i salim ol long lusim ples i no gat man bilong Paran. Olgeta dispela man em i ol het bilong ol pikinini bilong Isrel. And Moses by the commandment of the Lord sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
4 Na ol dispela em i ol nem bilong ol. Bilong ol lain bilong Ruben, Samua, pikinini man bilong Sakur. And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
5 Bilong lain bilong Simeon, Safat, pikinini man bilong Hori. Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
6 Bilong lain bilong Juda, Kelep, pikinini man bilong Jefune. Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
7 Bilong lain bilong Isakar, Igal, pikinini man bilong Josep. Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
8 Bilong lain bilong Ifraim, Hosea, pikinini man bilong Nun. Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
9 Bilong lain bilong Benjamin, Palti, pikinini man bilong Rafu. Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.
10 Bilong lain bilong Sebyulan, Gadiel, pikinini man bilong Sodi. Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.
11 Bilong lain bilong Josef, em i olsem, bilong lain bilong Manasa, Gadi, pikinini man bilong Susi. Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.
12 Bilong lain bilong Dan, Amiel, pikinini man bilong Gemali. Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.
13 Bilong lain bilong Aser, Setur, pikinini man bilong Maikel. Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.
14 Bilong lain bilong Naptalai, Nabi, pikinini man bilong Vopsi. Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
15 Bilong lain bilong Gat, Geuel, pikinini man bilong Maki. Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
16 Ol dispela em i ol nem bilong ol man husat Moses i salim long lukstil long dispela hap. Na Moses i kolim Hosea, pikinini man bilong Nun, Jehosua. These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.
17 Na Moses i salim ol long lukstil long hap bilong Kenan, na tokim ol, Yupela go antap long dispela rot i go long hap saut, na i go antap long maunten. And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain:
18 Na lukim dispela hap, em i olsem wanem, na ol manmeri husat i stap long en, sapos ol i gat strong o i no gat strong, liklik lain tasol o planti, And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
19 Na dispela hap ol i stap long en em i wanem, sapos em i stap gutpela o nogut, na wanem ol biktaun ol i stap long en i stap olsem wanem, sapos ol i ol haus sel, o ol strongpela ples hait, And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
20 Na dispela hap i stap olsem wanem, sapos em i stap gris o i no gris, sapos i gat diwai long en, o nogat. Na yupela holimpas gutpela strong bilong pait, na bringim bilong ol kaikai bilong dispela hap. Nau taim em i taim bilong ol namba wan pikinini wain i mau. And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
21 ¶ Olsem na ol i go antap, na painimaut tru dispela hap i stat long ples i no gat man bilong Sin i go inap long Rehop, olsem ol man i kam long Hemat. So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
22 Na ol i go antap long hap saut, na kam long Hibron, we Ahiman, Sesai, na Talmai, ol pikinini bilong Anak, i stap. (Nau ol i wokim Hibron sevenpela yia bipo Soan long Isip.) And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
23 Na ol i kam long liklik wara bilong Eskol, na katim daun long dispela ples wanpela han wantaim wanpela lain bung bilong ol pikinini wain, na ol i karim dispela namel long tupela man antap long wanpela stik wokabaut. Na ol i bringim bilong ol pomigranet, na bilong ol fik. And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
24 Dispela ples ol i kolim liklik wara Eskol, bilong tingim dispela lain bung bilong pikinini wain ol pikinini bilong Isrel i katim daun long dispela ples. The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
25 Na ol i go bek long lusim wok bilong painimaut tru long dispela hap bihain long 40 de. And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
26 ¶ Na ol i go na kamap long Moses, na long Eron, na long olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri bilong ol pikinini bilong Isrel, i go long ples i no gat man bilong Paran, long Kedes. Na ol i bringim i kam bek tok i go long ol, na i go long olgeta bung bilong ol manmeri, na soim ol ol kaikai bilong dispela hap. And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
27 Na ol i tokim em, na tok, Mipela kam long dispela hap we yu salim mipela. Na tru tumas, em i ran wantaim susu na hani. Na dispela em i kaikai bilong en. And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
28 Tasol ol manmeri i stap strong husat i stap long dispela hap, na ol biktaun i gat banis, na ol i bikpela tru. Na moa tu mipela lukim ol pikinini bilong Anak long dispela hap. Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
29 Ol lain Amalek i stap long hap bilong hap saut. Na ol lain Hit, na ol lain Jebus, na ol lain Amor, i stap long ol maunten. Na ol lain Kenan i stap klostu long biksi, na klostu long arere bilong Jordan. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
30 Na Kelep i mekim ol lain manmeri i stap isi long ai bilong Moses, na tok, Larim yumi go antap wantu, na holimpas dispela . Long wanem, yumi inap tru gut long winim dispela. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

Na olgeta manmeri husat mipela lukim long en em ol man i longpela tru. And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
33 Na long dispela hap mipela lukim ol traipela man, ol pikinini man bilong Anak, husat i kam long ol traipela man. Na mipela, long ai bilong mipela yet, i stap olsem ol grasop, na olsem tasol mipela i stap long ai bilong ol. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
