¶ Long wanem, kingdom bilong heven em i olsem wanpela man husat i papa bilong haus, husat i go ausait long moning tru long baim ol man bilong hatwok long go insait long gaden wain bilong em. | For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
Na taim em i bin kamap wanbel wantaim ol man bilong hatwok long wanpela peni wan wan de, em i salim ol i go insait long gaden wain bilong em. | And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
Na em i go ausait klostu long namba tri aua, na lukim ol arapela i sanap nating long ples maket, | And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
Na tokim ol, Yupela go tu insait long gaden wain, na wanem samting i stretpela mi bai givim yupela. Na ol i go long rot bilong ol. | And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
Na gen em i go ausait klostu long namba sikis na namba nain aua, na mekim wankain olsem. | Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
Na klostu long namba 11 aua em i go ausait, na lukim ol arapela i sanap nating, na tokim ol, Bilong wanem yupela i sanap nating hia olde? | And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
Ol i tokim em, Bilong wanem, i no gat man i bin baim mipela. Em i tokim ol, Yupela go tu insait long gaden wain. Na wanem samting i stretpela, dispela bai yupela i kisim. | They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
Olsem tasol taim apinun tru i kam pinis, bikman bilong dispela gaden wain i tokim man bilong em bilong lukautim samting, Singautim ol man bilong hatwok, na givim ol pe bilong ol, i stat long ol man i kam las i go inap long ol man i kam paslain. | So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
Na taim ol i kam husat em i kisim klostu long namba 11 aua, ol i kisim wanpela peni olgeta wan wan man. | And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

Na taim ol i bin kisim dispela, ol i tok baksait i birua long papa bilong haus, | And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
I spik, Ol dispela man i kam las i bin wok wanpela aua tasol, na yu bin mekim ol wanmak stret long mipela, husat i bin karim hevi na hat bilong de. | Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
Tasol em i bekim wanpela bilong ol, na tok, Pren, mi no mekim rong long yu. Ating i yes long yu bin wanbel wantaim mi long wok long wanpela peni? | But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
Kisim dispela samting i bilong yu, na go long rot bilong yu. Mi bai givim long ol dispela las, yes, olsem long yu. | Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
Ating i yes long em i orait long lo long mi ken mekim wanem samting mi gat laik long en long samting i bilong mi yet? Ating ai bilong yu i nogut, bilong wanem, mi stap gutpela? | Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
Olsem tasol ol las bai stap paslain, na ol paslain las. Long wanem, God i singautim planti, tasol em i makim liklik lain tasol. | So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Na ol bai putim Pikinini Man bilong man long han bilong ol bikpris na long ol man bilong rait, na ol bai mekim em lus long kot i go long dai. | Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, |

¶ Nau mama bilong ol pikinini bilong Sebedi i kam long em wantaim tupela pikinini man bilong em, na lotuim em, na askim wanpela samting long em. | Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

Em i tokim em, Tok orait long dispela tupela pikinini man bilong mi i ken sindaun, wanpela long han sut sait bilong yu, na arapela long han kais sait, long kingdom bilong yu. | And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. |

Ating yupela inap long dring long dispela kap mi bai dring long en, na long kisim baptais wantaim dispela baptais mi kisim baptais long en? Ol i tokim em, Mipela inap. | But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. |
Na em i tokim ol, Em i tru, yupela bai dring long kap bilong mi, na kisim baptais wantaim dispela baptais mi kisim baptais long en. Tasol long sindaun long han sut sait bilong mi, na long han kais sait bilong mi, em i no bilong mi long givim, tasol Papa bilong mi bai givim dispela long ol husat em i bin redim dispela. | And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Na taim dispela tenpela i harim dispela, bel nogut i kirapim ol i birua long dispela tupela brata. | And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

Na husat man bai stap nambawan namel long yupela, larim em stap wokboi bilong yupela. | And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Yes, olsem Pikinini Man bilong man i no kam long ol man i wokim wok long em, tasol long wokim wok, na long givim laip bilong em wanpela pe bilong baim bek planti. | Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
¶ Na taim ol i lusim Jeriko, wanpela traipela lain tru i bihainim em. | And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

Na dispela bikpela lain tru i hatim ol, bilong wanem, ol i mas pasim maus bilong ol. Tasol ol i singaut moa, i spik, Sori long mipela, O Bikpela, yu Pikinini Man bilong Devit. | And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.
Na Jisas i sanap i stap, na singautim tupela, na tok, Yutupela i gat laik long mi mekim wanem long yupela? | And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
