| 2 | Bilong wanem ol disaipel bilong yu i kalapim lo bilong kastam bilong ol lapun hetman? Long wanem, ol i no wasim ol han bilong ol taim ol i kaikai bret. | Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. |
| 3 | Tasol em i bekim na tokim ol, Bilong wanem yupela tu i kalapim lo bilong tok strong bilong God long kastam bilong yupela? | But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? |
| 4 | Long wanem, God i tok strong, i spik, Givim ona long papa na mama bilong yu. Na, Em husat i toknogutim papa o mama, larim em dai long dispela dai. | For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. |
| 5 | Tasol yupela i tok, Husat man bai tokim papa o mama bilong em, Em i wanpela presen, long wanem samting yu ken winim pinis long mi, | But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; |

Olsem tasol yupela i bin mekim tok strong bilong God i no gat pawa wantaim kastam bilong yupela. | And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. |

| 10 | ¶ Na em i singautim dispela bikpela lain tru, na tokim ol, Harim, na kisim save. | And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: |
| 11 | I no dispela samting i go insait long maus i mekim man i doti. Tasol dispela samting i kam ausait long maus, dispela i mekim man i doti. | Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. |
| 12 | Nau ol disaipel bilong em i kam, na tokim em, Yu save long ol bel bilong ol Farisi i kisim bagarap, bihain long ol i harim dispela toktok? | Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? |
| 13 | Tasol em i bekim na tok, Olgeta wan wan samting man i planim, dispela Papa bilong mi bilong heven i no bin planim, bai mi kamautim wantaim rop daunbilo bilong en. | But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. |
| 14 | Larim ol i stap. Ol i stap ol aipas lida bilong ol aipas. Na sapos aipas i stiaim aipas, tupela wantaim bai pundaun insait long baret. | Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. |
| 15 | Nau Pita i bekim na tokim em, Tokaut long mipela long dispela tok piksa. | Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. |
| 16 | Na Jisas i tok, Ating yupela tu i sot olgeta long gutpela save yet? | And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? |
| 17 | Ating i yes long yupela i kisim save yet, long wanem samting i go insait long maus i go insait long bel, na bodi i tromoi i go ausait insait long pipia? | Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? |
| 18 | Tasol ol dispela samting, dispela i kam ausait long maus i kam ausait long bel. Na ol i mekim man i doti. | But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. |
| 19 | Long wanem, ausait long bel ol tingting nogut i kam, ol pasin bilong kilim man, ol pasin bilong bagarapim marit long pamuk pasin, ol pamuk pasin, ol stil pasin, giaman witnes, ol tok bilas. | For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: |
| 20 | Ol dispela em ol dispela samting i mekim man i doti. Tasol long kaikai wantaim ol han man i no wasim i no mekim man i doti. | These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. |
| 21 | ¶ Nau Jisas i go long hap, na lusim dispela ples i go long ol hap arere bilong Tair na Saidon. | Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. |
| 22 | Na, lukim, wanpela meri bilong Kenan i kam ausait long ol dispela hap arere stret, na singaut i go long em, i spik, Sori long mi, O Bikpela, yu Pikinini Man bilong Devit. Wanpela spirit nogut i givim hevi nogut tru long pikinini meri bilong mi. | And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. |

| 25 | Nau meri i kam na lotuim em, i spik, Bikpela, helpim mi. | Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. |
| 26 | Tasol em i bekim na tok, Em i no fit long kisim ol bret bilong ol pikinini, na long tromoi dispela i go long ol dok. | But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. |
| 27 | Na em i tok, Tru, Bikpela, tasol ol dok i kaikai long ol dispela pipia bilong kaikai i pundaun long tebol bilong ol bosman bilong ol. | And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. |
| 28 | Nau Jisas i bekim na tokim em, O meri, bilip tru bilong yu em i bikpela. Em bai stap long yu, yes, olsem yu gat laik. Na pikinini meri bilong em i kamap orait olgeta i stat long dispela aua stret. | Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. |
| 29 | ¶ Na Jisas i lusim dispela ples, na kam klostu long biksi Galili. Na em i go antap long wanpela maunten, na sindaun long dispela hap. | And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there. |
| 30 | Na ol traipela lain tru i kam long em, taim ol i gat wantaim ol ol dispela husat i lek nogut, aipas, mauspas, ol man husat hap bodi bilong ol i bagarap, na planti arapela, na tromoi ol i go daun long tupela lek bilong Jisas. Na em i oraitim ol, | And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: |
| 31 | Inap olsem long bikpela lain tru i tingting planti, taim ol i lukim ol mauspas i toktok, ol man husat hap bodi bilong ol i bagarap i kamap orait olgeta, ol lek nogut i wokabaut, na ol aipas i lukluk. Na ol i givim glori long God bilong Isrel. | Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel. |
| 32 | Nau Jisas i singautim ol disaipel bilong em i kam long em, na tok, Mi gat pasin sori long dispela bikpela lain tru, bilong wanem, ol i stap yet wantaim mi nau tripela de, na ol i no gat samting long kaikai. Na mi bai i no inap salim ol i go taim ol i tambuim kaikai, nogut ol i hap i dai long rot. | Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. |

| 36 | Na em i kisim dispela sevenpela hap bret na ol pis, na givim tok tenkyu, na brukim ol, na givim long ol disaipel bilong em, na ol disaipel i givim long dispela bikpela lain tru. | And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. |
| 37 | Na ol olgeta i bin kaikai, na ol i pulap. Na ol i bungim ol dispela kaikai i bruk i stap yet sevenpela basket i pulap. | And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. |
| 38 | Na ol husat i bin kaikai em i 4,000 man, na dispela i no kaunim ol meri na ol pikinini. | And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. |
| 39 | Na em i salim dispela bikpela lain tru i go, na em i kalap long sip, na kam insait long ol hap arere bilong Makdala. | And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala. |
