¶ Nau Boas i go antap, long dua bilong banis, na sindaunim em yet long dispela hap. Na, lukim, dispela kandre husat Boas i bin toktok long em i kam klostu, long husat Boas i tok, Oloman, kain man olsem! Tanim long sait, sindaun long hia. Na em i tanim long sait na sindaun. | Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
Na em i kisim tenpela man bilong ol lapun hetman bilong biktaun, na tok, Yupela sindaun hia. Na ol i sindaun. | And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
Na em i tokim kandre, Neomi, husat i kam gen ausait long kantri bilong Moap, i salim wanpela hap graun, dispela i bilong brata bilong yumi Elimelek bipo. | And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s:
Na mi tingting long toksave long yu, i spik, Baim dispela long ai bilong ol man i stap long hia, na long ai bilong ol lapun hetman bilong ol lain bilong mi. Sapos yu laik baim bek, baim bek. Tasol sapos yu no gat laik long baim bek, orait tokim mi, inap long mi ken save. Long wanem, i no gat narapela long yu bilong baim bek dispela. Na mi bihain long yu. Na em i tok, Mi bai baim bek. | And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.
Nau Boas i tok, Wanem de yu baim bikpela gaden long han bilong Neomi, yu mas baim tu long meri Moap Rut, meri bilong daiman, long kirapim nem bilong daiman antap long graun papa i givim pikinini bilong em. | Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Na dispela kandre i tok, Mi no ken baim bek dispela long mi yet, nogut mi bagarapim samting papa i givim pikinini bilong mi yet. Yu kisim rait bilong mi bilong baim bek long yu yet. Long wanem, mi no ken baim bek dispela. | And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.
Nau dispela em i kastam long taim bipo long Isrel long sait bilong baim bek na long sait bilong senisim, bilong tok yes long olgeta samting. Wanpela man i save rausim su bilong em, na givim long man i stap klostu long em. Na dispela em i wanpela testimoni insait long Isrel. | Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.
Olsem na dispela kandre i tokim Boas, Baim dispela bilong yu. Olsem na em i rausim su bilong em. | Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.
¶ Na Boas i tokim ol lapun hetman, na olgeta manmeri, Yupela i stap ol witnes tude, long mi bin baim olgeta samting i bilong Elimelek, na olgeta samting i bilong Kilion na Malon, long han bilong Neomi. | And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.
Na moa tu meri Moap Rut, meri bilong Malon, mi bin baim bilong kamap meri bilong mi, bilong kirapim nem bilong daiman antap long graun papa i givim pikinini bilong em, inap long nem bilong daiman i no ken bruk pinis long namel long ol brata bilong em, na long dua bilong banis bilong ples bilong em. Yupela i stap ol witnes tude. | Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
Na olgeta manmeri husat i stap long dua bilong banis, na ol lapun hetman, i tok, Mipela i stap ol witnes. BIKPELA i ken mekim dispela meri husat i kam insait long haus bilong yu wankain olsem Resel na wankain olsem Lia, tupela husat i bin wokim hauslain bilong Isrel. Na yu mekim gutpela wok long Efrata, na kisim biknem long Betlehem. | And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Beth–lehem:
Na larim hauslain bilong yu stap olsem hauslain bilong Feres, husat Temar i karim long Juda, long dispela tumbuna pikinini BIKPELA bai givim yu long dispela yangpela meri. | And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.
¶ Olsem na Boas i kisim Rut, na em i stap meri bilong em. Na taim em i go long em, BIKPELA i larim em i kisim bel, na em i karim wanpela pikinini man. | So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son.
Na ol meri i tokim Neomi, Blesing i stap long BIKPELA, husat i no bin lusim yu tude, long yu no gat wanpela kandre, inap long nem bilong em i ken kamap bikpela long Isrel. | And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
Na em bai stap long yu olsem man bilong givim bek laip bilong yu, na man bilong givim kaikai long yu long taim lapun bilong yu. Long wanem, tambu pikinini meri bilong yu, husat i laikim yu tru, husat i gutpela moa long yu long sevenpela pikinini man, i bin karim em. | And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
Na Neomi i kisim dispela pikinini, na slipim em long bros bilong em, na kamap wasmama bilong em. | And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
Na ol meri i stap klostu long em i givim em nem, i spik, I gat wanpela pikinini man meri i karim long Neomi. Na ol i kolim nem bilong em Obet. Em i papa bilong Jesi, papa bilong Devit. | And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
Nau dispela em i ol lain tumbuna bilong Feres. Feres i kamapim Hesron, | Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
Na Hesron i kamapim Ram, na Ram i kamapim Aminadap, | And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
Na Aminadap i kamapim Nason, na Nason i kamapim Salmon. | And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
Na Salmon i kamapim Boas, na Boas i kamapim Obet, | And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
Na Obet i kamapim Jesi, na Jesi kamapim Devit. | And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.
